The last iteration of the moderation discussion thread was a complete disaster. Numerous attempts to keep it on topic fa
Iβm not bigoted against men. I donβt think menβs behavior is inherent to their biology or innate characteristics; I think itβs due to the way men are socialized.
Itβs a significant distinction from misogyny.
"Hey, guise, I don't hate you because you're men; I hate you because of your environmental upbringing."
That’s quite a creative interpretation of what I actually said, way to distinguish yourself, congrats
I’m not gonna say that shitty bad faith comments like that directly contribute to my contempt, but… they certainly don’t help π
Eh. While I appreciate the concept in general of making random gifts for others, the whole not buying Christmas gifts due to being anti capitalist thing just comes across as bah humbug to me.
Being anti-capitalist (which again I'm not) isn't the only reason to be against the commercialization of Christmas.
Many very serious Christians don't like that Christmas has become a celebration of buying and selling.
It's even a big point made in A Charlie Brown Christmas, from 1965, and I can't imagine you consider that to be bah-humbug. Christmas has certainly gotten even more commercialized in the last 60 years.
I guess there is a difference between being anti-commercialization of religious / family holidays, and simply being anti-capitalist, but in this context the difference is certainly slight.
Still comes across as tight ass
I forget sometimes that you’re just a kid
I just trimmed away the fat. You can use what I said to further make sweeping generalizations about men.
I didnt mention any feelings whatsoever in my post, it was a fairly clinical observation that I donβt find menβs behavior to be inherent to their biology.
Then you blew in with some big boy feelings and editorialized it into a hate post. Very hysterical, very emotional. That seems like a you issue.
You are kinda bigoted against men though, even if you insist you aren't. Just sayin'.

No even a little bit. I don’t hate men in general or as individuals; I do hate the system of patriarchy and the harm it causes and the complacency that most men seem to have adopted, even the so-called “good ones”.
But two of my closest friends in the world are men, have been my friends for over a decade, and I love them deeply and they love me and know that when I speak about these issues I’m not attacking them as individuals.
bigotry against men is as dumb a concept as bigotry against whites or other dominant groups (one in particular)
Brett Weinstein:
‘Heather Heying’s observation is brutal: young women especially began treating ideologies the exact way evolution wired them to treat babies. Climate change, social justice, whatever the cause of the month is — it gets defended with literal mama-bear ferocity, the same neurochemistry that once guarded a toddler from predators now guards an abstract idea from wrong think.’

Makes perfect sense, because men are famously not engineered to react violently to threats.
Just unbelievable how insultingly stupid conservative faux-science pablum is. You'd think even Kelhus would be offended by how dim these hucksters take their audiences for. He doesn't even know how to use the word "literal" correctly, for chrissake.

Your feelings have been made clear in dozens of other prior posts, so you can't fault anyone for reading subsequent posts contextually.
Not all men, but definitely you
