He probably deserves his own thread at this point, discuss accordingly

He bought that election fair and square!

The reasoning is sound: they tried to cheat and lost so they think the only way that could have happened is if the other side cheated.

Remember the rule. The only elections that are stolen are the ones the democrats win.

Have already got contacted by 3 engineers with Tesla this year asking for career help, though I’m not really in any of their fields. Not on LinkedIn or BS public emails. All either knew personal friends of mine from my under/grad school or work to get these contact methods. Said I’d have lunch with one of them next week. Kinda curious what it’s like there now.

Tesla was arguably in a pickle before Musk went off the rails. There is little sign off innovation.

Their top models are ok, but outdated. The cheap lineup sold a lot on the numbers game, but competitors have closed the gap with less econobox-feeling cars (and yes, I have driven all non-truck models except the Y, which is similar to the 3 anyway). I have no opinion on the Cybertruck, apart from stating all the recalls seems to cast clouds on many claims regarding Tesla's fabled production lines.

Their robots are likely vaporware, they are definitely not in the lead on AI, and trying to derive self-driving cars from assisted driving cars was called a mistake already in the beginning and those critics seem to have been right. To add insult to injury, they are not the furthest along in neither assisted driving nor self-driving.

It was insanely impressive to create a large car company. In the extremely competitive world of automobile this is an awesome feat. Still, I get a sense that in the rush to expand, they forgot that they still have to compete when the rest of the industry adapts.

These days, who knows. Even ignoring his distasteful politics, Musk seems to be off his rocker.

Competing with China will be interesting. New BYD factory, planned to be 10x larger than Tesla's Gigafactory (which is currently the largest by area on Earth) and larger than the city of San Francisco.

Trumpstains absolutely trashed democracy in the USA and should never be forgiven for it. Don't hire them, don't work for them, don't invite them to their grandchildren's birthday party.

luckily political ideology isn't a protected class yet

Members of the first Trump administration tried to make it one.
They complained profusely when they were refused service at local DC area restaurants, etc.

you know I am in favour of private entities being allowed to always discriminate all customers (or in hiring) without having to justify it to third parties ever, it's freedom of association, a pillar of a free society.

I wasn't ironic, luckily that's still allow for political reasons (as it should be)

Yes, I wasn't meaning to imply that you agreed with them, that's just what you're comment reminded me of.

Yep. This has been me for awhile now. You might recall a very viciously worded tirade I posted on election night for which I received a ton of crap. Just to put it out there, I stand by every word of it. You will not be forgiven for this.

But you are against unions right ?

You really are a crybaby aren't you. You lost the election. Get over it. Democracy wasn't trashed. It worked as intended.

Yeah, all this is pretty much exactly right. I bought a Model S and drove it for a while then gave it to my dad because I wanted something else. It was fine for the most part. Replace Elon with Buffett or Zuck or Bezos I still likely wouldn't have plans on buying another Tesla anytime soon. Stale (or worse ie cybertruck) lineup and while it's not a fair fight because of price range I prefer both our i7 and EQS to anything Tesla has. Given Elon plus the fact that the car was just ok to begin with I can't imagine buying another Tesla ever.

Who won the election in 2020?

Mrons are saying the WI election just last night was stolen. Nothing they say is any dumber than the arguments conservatives here make.

People believing and acting like the winners of elections won is a really crucial part of a functional democracy. These piece of s*** Trump supporters have f***** that up.

Crickets….

I think the crickets are busy in the hall where DOGE announces all the fraud it has found.

A whole Test match series of crickets over there.

Meygyn Kelly complains that Elon Musk is not embraced like Einstein was and it's Dems fault. Because those guys are so similar otherwise.

Weeks ago they came up with all these 120-300 year olds still on the social security rolls but they don't appear to have gone the next step and presented any proof that these people are or were receiving ss checks. Hannity said on his radio show yesterday that we still don't know if this is financial fraud. It's been 2 months and we still don't know if they are receiving checks, how is this possible? (other than it was a bullshit claim by Doge)

I can come up with two logical explanations for the "life spans" of some of these numbers regardless based on what I know of ss benefits (Wives and kids).

It took Einstein over a decade to figure out how to apply the principle of relativity to accelerating observers. Obviously mere weeks is not enough for these beautiful minds.
