Cleopatra - Elizabeth is the name of a couple of Queens, and Cleopatra was a Queen
Court - Queens have a court?
Cricket - British thing, British queen
Mother - I believe Elizabeth was the name of the Elizabeth II's mother, the Queen Mother, and of course Elizabeth II was the mother of Charles III

I really don't see anything else I *like* on that list. And I feel like that's a pretty specific list of words to hit with a clue like that.

The clue isn't queen tho, so there's gotta be more to it than that.

Mother - Elizabeth was queen mother
Cleopatra - Elizabeth Taylor played Cleo
Joan of Arc - another female name? I know ibd likes these sorts of connections

The way I see it, there are other clues that get you to Cleopatra, Court, and Mother. But an *English* clue gets you Cricket.

I could be missing something stone obvious but this is what I see.

Queen gets all those words way easier. Elizabeth does not necessarily have to be just for Queen Elizabeth, and almost certainly isn't.

I would say he is specifically avoiding court/cricket with this clue.

Liz Taylor played Cleo in the movie, but we would've guessed thay anyway.

I like Joan of Arc because ibd likes to make first name connections like that.

I don't know who else it would be, but there are probably some geniuses with that name, and people tend to guess it when a person is clued so he probably didn't overlook that word.

I think an actual connection is worth more than a speculative guess. I'll buy a first name connection, though.
