Good art is produced by conservatives and even fascists. Art is a conversation with culture.
Top of my head, TS Eliot, Mishima, Wagner. Hard to think Michelangelo was a lefty.
No good comedy is conservative though, because what they find funny is just cruelty.

Technology though, runs straight through the heart like a stake.

when I think of "good art" or "good science", to me it's different ways of seeing things, and then communicating that to others. and doing it in a way that is compelling and valuable.
also, i'd say current technology runs through the heart like a stake. but it hasn't always been that way, and might not be that way in the future. I could be wrong though. like the technology of clothes, fire, shelter, fishing nets. maybe those weren't soul destroying tech. or maybe they were. maybe we'd have been better off without them.
and maybe tech in the future, like star trek. maybe that will be good.
