Breather implies the person doing the breathing, not things related to breath. I don't think we can ignore the 'er' there.

Not breath avoids stethoscope and curry.

We talked about this already and said the clue would likely be breathers if it was just for things that breathe. Like when you clue animals it is just the animals on the board, but if you clue animal then it is for tail or something.

That said, troll is unlikely to be terrible so I don't hate guessing it.

I think that makes no sense. Breath is literally right there, breath*er* has to mean something different. Breather vs Breathers is a distinction without a difference.

What else *is* a breather on this list? Troll is weak but they aren't expressly known for notb reathing.

Whether you think it makes sense or not is irrelevant. I'm just saying that has been the norm for pretty much as long as I can remember.

We did 2 things that are breathers and eliminated the non-breather, vampire

What we are saying and said multiple times our reasoning, not dismissing, is that breathers means all 3 words are breathers while breather means 1+ of them aren’t breathers but related

Like animals means dog, mouse, cat but animal means 1+ of horseshoe or tail or bark are ours and it’s not just all animals

That is the logic we both said we think is best

We discussed pros and cons for disease and stethoscope and both said we were ok with troll as not risky even tho he did breather not breathers so we don’t think it’s ours (troll breath may also be a thing and a reason to avoid breath)

I don’t see where we dismissed you or didn’t explain our reasoning; you don’t have to agree with it, but we did explain it without being mean or anything

Czech is also a breather like waitress and troll and dragon

I wouldn’t mind Czech over troll because breath hits troll harder so avoiding cluing breath could be to avoid troll

If you get a disease, you rest, or take a breather; oxygen is also important in many diseases, and you may be a heavy breather while sick…so I don’t hate disease

I guess I’m currently at disease > Czech > troll > stethoscope

What are you talking about. Having a difference of opinion is not being "completely dismissed out of hand". All I did was explain why I liked one word over another and even at the end said I was fine going with troll anyway.

I don't like czech much because it goes back to the czech/kiwi problem and I think it would've been lumped in with landscape also.
