Regular Run of the Mill NO LIST Codenames!
Post if you want in, ideally 8 people but the normal game - guess your stuff and ideally go fast bolding away a guess at a time(Snapguess + guess + etc). Spirit of the game is to just bold away at what you think, keep 0-1 max backup and go quick.

Yeah if it were just about the city, I wouldn't be against it.
It's certainly possible (both relatively common last names, both presidents on money), but I think it's stronger for them and I'm not interested in helping out. Even if it's ours, it may help them out more than us.
If we pass, then they can't guess King or Washington or Alien without running the risk that it's our last Jackson word.
Ehhh it's a bit early in the game to be passing imo. Reds aren't gonna be guessing it for us, and if we get to endgame without guessing it and it's not ours, then we're screwed anyway. If it is red, it's not that big a deal anyway.
It's not like we're taking a wild guess here. Outside of king, it is the strongest word by far, and king should never be ours.
I'm not convinced passing isn't the best option, and if we don't, I'd rather say King than Washington.
The only reason we aren't snapping off King here is that we're afraid that it's their Canada word. I feel just as strongly about Washington, with the kicker that it's not better for our Jackson word.
The reason we're not snapping off king is because it is literally the next word on their list and that would be a massive unforced error for ervin to clue that for us this turn. I'd be pretty pissed if I was cluing here and you guessed king.
Washington is way stronger for us than it is for them imo. Like if it isn't that then we're looking at **** like alien and halloween which are just ginormous stretches. I also know ervin is a big fan of the last name connection...a couple of games ago he didn't want to guess Washington simply because I didn't capitalise cruise for one of the clues, and Jackson to Washington is probably at least 10 times stronger than that.
If it's red then it's red, but passing this early in the game when we have a solid guess is a mistake imho. It's not like it will become any clearer for us next turn if we don't guess it.
I'm with that reasoning completely. King I'm off of. But he was cluing for *something* and if we know what it is, we guess it.
I've said my piece, so Neil if you think Washington is the best play, go for it.
