I'm not an MMA guy. I know what it is, I've read a little bit about it now and then, but I've never been one to actually watch matches. So I'm open to being way off here.

Sock and Mount are two moves an MMA fighter might use. And MMA fighters are members of schools of fighting, often.

I think sock however is more of a colloquialism than mount and school are.
