Really the only contenders that would make them confident of a 100% clue are "stadium" and "chief". The other confirmers could do it for us.

by insanity31 m

yeah A9

there are actually two A9s, but lets go with the good one

If it's stadium, the less good A9 is Allegiant, where the Raiders play.

I'm not thinking of a good A7 or A12 to fit, but there's plenty of European stadiums I wouldn't know.

Does Arsenal play at Arsenal Stadium?

If it's stadium, I don't love that they didn't confirm with Neyland (Univ of Tennessee), Gillette (Patriots), or RFK (Redskins).

A12 is amphitheater. I'm sold on stadium.

Ok logic passes and I had no idea lol

stadium

yes, let's go with the "good one" Astrodome

by insanity31 m

hadn't seen the new page

Arrowhead

oh wait

but Insanity had a great read on Bolt, knowing he's an NFL expert, so Arrowhead was a great clue for him

good clue and good job getting it

Yeah bolt was never missing that. He even got my other A9. I didn't think of astrodome

Round 2:

Cards used: 1
Guessers: bolt/d1

The Board:

UNKQ | RG | EF | T | C | B | P

The target word:
I've pmed the word to ibd, pog, zeus, ervin, insanity

I never thought of Astrodome either. And I've been there.

I mainly liked it because having dome in the word meant even someone who didn't know it would be able to figure out what it was, whereas various stadium names could be hit or miss

but since he knew you know your NFL, Arrowhead was just as good

p9 first to mind from p7/p8 but could go multiple ways so maybe not best clue

or maybe best clue with some confirmers

Yea the ps could go in any direction, there's p12 as well which can also go in any direction

Hmmm

Q5 is a decent confirmer

there's also a p11 - 3 different p's i'm talking about, a p9, a p11, a p12

all seem hard to decipher from the other side, all could be misleading/not enough info on their own

kinda drawing a blank on anything useful with the other letters

did we decide anything on U and N regarding un/non type clues? tho not thinking of any of those either haha

I think P9 > Q5 would always get it? Can't think of much else atm

Arrowhead
Soldier Field
Lambeau

Is every other NFL stadium name bought by a sponsor?

yeah p9 to q5 seems like a lock in 2

I think if we clue p9 they think of the word and then hopefully deduce from confirmers

open to other options for first clue

I feel like we can use u/n for un/non because only 2 cards in game until the group says otherwise; we never really made a ruling so it's allowed by the rules by default; not sure how helpful it is to use this turn tho

N10 is super niche and is one of two options

Can't really think of anything new for this one

I was too late but I had all these for 'stadium'

A7 (Anfield), A10 (Almondvale), A9 (Allegiant), G8 (Gillette), G8 (Goodison), G8 (Galabank), G8 (Gayfield), P9 (Pittodrie), P10 (Palmerston), P12 (Prestonfield), P12 (Principality), P8 (Parkhead), P7 (Pirelli), P11 (Priestfield), R10 (Racecourse), R9 (Riverside), K8 (Kirklees), K10 (Kenilworth) and K6 (Kassam)

Anyone want to guess the teams? :p

so are we good with p9?

idk what n10 is

I have nothing to add, sorry

I’ll throw out g12 as a more fun confirmer that prolly should be ignored

And r3 as an actual good confirmer

But the clue to give is

political

Well this hits approximately 6 trillion words.

If q5 is queen, this might be monarchy?

Oh wait, I think I know it. Will let bolt have a go at it first.
