I like bomb for WSOP if eb actually follows it closely, but not coloniser.

I've got no strong 3rd coloniser word (2nd is weak enough already)

I like gangster as a midway point that fits both a little bit and neither really well.

Flag can’t be good, it was next on our list and this isn’t an n-1 clue.

And if both flag and ring were good (and we know ring is), he probably would’ve done an unlimited clue that nailed the two words we weren’t close to rather than done a 4-clue that might stretch.

Could a coloniser be a gangster as they're both professions that are bad from a moral sense?

Also gangsters are kinda synonymous with the early days of wsop/gambling/vegas

Could coloniser have a second meaning involving the colon making doctor a fit? Or am I stretching too much with that one?

Bomb - Bomb pot bracelet at WSOP 2024. You also had it on your colonizer list.

Doctor - A job like colonizer. Rich people like doctors come and play WSOP events each year but I'm struggling to think of a notable example.

Dragon - I'm not seeing much for either thing here.

Pole - Don't think the Polish were colonizers and I'd be really reluctant to go for this because Germany was a miss. Not seeing any WSOP connection.

Square - can't think of any Square terms in poker or connections to the WSOP. Are there perhaps famous national squares but I'm not sure that even connects to colonizers

Swamp - not seeing any connections to anything.

Tipi - colonized people lived in tipis but that's a different word. There are tipis traditionally in the surrounding area of Las Vegas, home of the WSOP.
