So many blockers on that board.

I thought slow and steady with 2 clues was the way to go. Every 3+ clue was asking for trouble and unblocking the board for blue.

Seemed to work out ok.

So the Codenames rule is you can’t give knight-related clues for night

Similarly can’t clue drier words for dryer

In this case you can argue dryers contribute to the climate with electricity use, but I want to clarify again for people that Codenames rules are that words that sound the same but spelled differently cannot be clued as if they are the same word

In US and Britain and everywhere dryer is an appliance and drier means get less wet(have read that some people in UK also call the appliance a drier but not other way around)

Now, we could append pog Codenames rules to allow homonyms to be clued the same if people want, but as of now official pog rules do not amend this rule. Amending could be fine to avoid issues and close calls and make it not something to worry about (and open up cool clues that get both knight and night)

I knew dryer was iffy but like you said a dryer can contribute to climate change so I didn't mention it.

Yeah, it wasn’t like cluing moon for knight so not bad; more just using this as opportunity to clarify the rule since it’s come up before and maybe a chance for us to amend the rule so it’s allowed so then nobody has to worry

I figured board was like that with the small clues; was nice that helicopter blocked plane/reindeer/fuel/bee/rainbow clue

Yeah the small clue round 1 worried me, but when both sides were inching ahead, I assumed everything was just mutually blocked up. Well played.

Yeah was a tough board had to yolo it a bit as red had an easy 1 clue for the win

there is also a comedian named andrew dice clay, but not sure if many people know or would think of him. the ~only thing i recall about him is his name. seems like a scary guess, but that could explain the caps

I think ADC has to be the reason for the caps. And if that's the case, it also brings leather in to the mix since I'm pretty sure leather jackets are kind of his gimmick. Very hard to avoid guessing hand tho, and obviously we're always guessing casino.
