so if we really are down to 2 of these 3 then:

lead+water negatives:

Lady clue could have been for Lady in the Water

lead+water could be Flint because well known that Flint had huge issues for years with lead in the water; Zurvan being Canadian may or may not have known much about that

lead + water could be some plumbing type word, but tube, plastic, etc. kind of block that; and then mercury blocks contamination; and flute blocks pipe (along with tube and plastic blocking pipe)

he coulda done a fishing clue like sinker because those are made of lead as well

water+tube negatives:

hose
slide

other similar words he coulda done; tho plastic blocks slide and maybe somewhat hose

biggest negative is I think tube is pretty stretchy for way

lead + tube negatives:

pretty sure if he clued pipe then lead pipe and tube would be our first instincts; but water pipe (and some plastic pipe) still somewhat of blocker so he may not have wanted to chance it

biggest negative still that I just don't like tube for way

basically, if we go based on best 2 hits, it's lead+water

if we worry about 'what he coulda clued' then it's not as good
if we worry about 'did other team mean water for Lady' then it's not as good

but the alternative is to guess tube (or some other word on the list that i'm missing)...tube seems like 2-step connection and is very meh to me, but maybe you like tube more?

btw, I think Lady was capitalized for Iron Lady, which their team picked up on

that makes me less nervous about Lady in the Water

Okay I'm sold

Lead
Water

gulp

kangaroo - 5
Moonraker - 3

So very close to getting this one in two. You even had the right word, but choosing between paper and plastic based on that clue was just about a lucky coin flip

Lead
Bear

Eagle
Octopus
Spy
Queen
Iron

I was surprised that you went so immediately to Queen on the Moonraker clue (to me, Bond -> Queen wasn't obvious enough to clue for), but glad in the end that you didn't guess it over satellite or novel

whew

nice job team and good try blue

Close one!

Good job team.

Wow that was exciting. Well played.

Ooft close

Gg

Gj team!

Lead was the 3rd medvedev word (Russian PM leader) and I only thought of way at very last second, was going to go pipe - 2 and hope for the best was tough with all the blockers

man feel like it's been a year or something since i've been on a team w/ insanity lol

was looking for something like Loch Ness haha but ok I see

Leprechaun is good, Europe seems good. After that not as sure....could try some of Czech/Beijing/Alps or perhaps Robin?

Leprechaun
Europe

I think Beijing/Czech?

As locations/ nearly locations

If he wanted alps would he do antthing different?

he has to do Ireland to hit Leprechaun...Alps are mostly in Switzerland which is....not super far but also not exactly close

I'd feel better about Beijing if the clue was Dublin - Dublin would get Europe and Leprechaun all the same so I think we skip Beijing for now because of that

are they known for Fish or the Flute? Is an Irish Flute something?

thinking Czech 3rd then 4th still thinking....Robin could perhaps work too - Robin of Locksley is English so that's kind of in the ballpark so maybe something like

Leprechaun
Europe
Czech
Robin

?

Nah Robin way off but fair on dublin

I like flute much more?

Fits the Irish fiddle genre

Ok you wanna go Flute 4? I wouldn't discount robin but fine not guessing it for the time
