They were our ideas for the pelican clue and what we had left, so those 2 + the 2 new ones for rehearsal

You guys got the stay connection to court, but not to file, which I had to figure out how to make up for.

I had no idea how to credibly connect octopus and file, which insanity knew full well with his middle finger of a 1-clue on turn three. It didn’t help that any water-related clue to connect octopus with anything earlier else would’ve hit fish and whale.

I thought about ink - 2, but was worried brush (assassin) was too close. I also thought about numbered - 2, but was worried it wasn’t clear enough for either octopus or file, and I didn’t want to whiff completely and have zero path to win in case we got another turn. Probably should’ve just gone for it.

I could only hope that the lack of a list from the reds would force insanity to do a net - 3 clue (with drop in the way) to get fish/cast/dress or that reds would flip between fish and whale, since the last word they mentioned for pelican was whale. But they apparently didn’t remember mentioning it at all.

Sorry, guys. I played it too timidly this game, that’s on me.
