Not much different than my life now except for the paid big money part.
Did I back the Stars tonight? Well of course not, so I fired myself as GM and or CEO.
Keep waiting for them to fall back to earth. Guess I should blindly bet them until further notice.
Surprising in the standings:
Habs in the Wildcard just two ahead of Boston (not that surprising I suppose with Buffalo's surge)
Panthers below the Leafs?!
Habs come back from 5-2 down in the 3rd to tie at 5 and then lose it due to a too many men penalty. Even still, I was certain they'd tie it again at 6 w/goalie pulled, especially when the Sharks couldn't clear their zone for about 2 min., but alas, 'twasn't to be.
Dobes hadn't lost in regulation for 11 in a row. Not that he was even playing amazing during that stretch, but the team seems to really show up for him.
Damn the Pacific will be anyone's to take .
I need to watch the Habs highlights. Had to leave when it was 2-2 midway in 2nd. 7-5 must've been a wild finish. I see we tied it in the 3rd then took a too many men penalty and Sharks got the go ahead goal on the PP. Frustrating.
I had the Tie in Mon/SJ. Stopped paying attention at 5-2. Saw it ended 7-5. So it goes.
Now I'm unhappy.
the dallas stars have, for some reason, traded for tyler myers. i am so sorry, cowboy
Parayko to BUF
Weegar to UTA
both pending still
Do you feel that guys? Its sh*t tectonics. When two sh*t plates strike and come together under incredible pressure, s!@#quakes!
i'm distraught that i can't locate a video that illustrates my point, but the fanbase nicknamed him "chaos giraffe", and yeah that about covers it. he's very tall, and he's a human highlight reel for all of the reasons. he's capable of good things, but it's significantly outweighed by the bad, and he's been kinda terrible this season.
even if you hide him on the 3rd pairing with a quality babysitter it could be problematic. if he's a #7/8d, i'm not sure why the stars are bothering with such a wildcard. mostly seems like a negative freeroll, which is silly considering that their path to the cup probably = wild, avs, pacific (oilers), east.
Well at least I got a fun fact out of the deal.
Tyler Myers is the first Texas born (Houston, TX) player to play for the Stars.
2nd round pick seems a little steep, but Canucks retaining half of his 3 million dollar salary, so he only counts 1.5 million toward the cap. Still plenty of room to extend Robertson.
Overall seems like a low risk move. Also saw his nickname was "Big Tex" who is a huge cowboy that greets people entering the State Fair of Texas. Although I'll be on the lookout for "Chaos Giraffe." The dude does have an abnormally long neck.
