fair

NFL kickers are 100% from 45 yds

They are if their names don't end in -lahhhh!

by borg23 m

Agree but the run play on third down is horrendous.

I agree it was bad. Still think Dan Campbell is the best coach in the game.

by jwd m

I agreed with all of the Lions decisions up until they ran on 3rd and goal from the 1 and then called a timeout. Horrendous.

I wish they had kicked a FG there as I would have middled some of my action, -5.5 and +7.5, but that is just gambling stuff, not game strategy.

Does anyone know how likely converting a 4th and 2 is vs making a 46 yard FG? Similarish?

run on 3rd and goal is bargain basement stuff

that whole game was fun. i feel slightly soiled for having watched it though

I have no desire to dance on the graves of lions fans, I wish you no ill will and this has to ****ing hurt

ballpark 60% vs 75%

line open

49ers -2.5
chiefs

is kansas city jones hurt bad.. that's what i wana know

Campbell going for it instead of the FG up 14 was stupid

The 3rd down run on the final drive was a gamble but also stupid

The rest was just bad luck

Yeah, I’m on the side of kick it.

Enjoy those Lions NFC Champs hats, Africa

brock purdy! NFCC mvp!

edit: GLORY TO GOD

god the niners are so hateable

I voted Ravens vs Lions, lol me.

Glory to God, lol. Dirty sinner Lions.

Lol, who can possibly hate Kittle?

by 72off m

blame that if the lions lose

i was half-joking but ultimately correct, the fg just before the half instead of going for the td was campbell's mistake. but he should have gone for all 3

---> DET (21) @ SF (7) <---
DET has 4th & 3 at the SF 3, Q2 00:07
Recommendation (STRONG): Go for it (+4.4 WP)
Actual play: M.Badgley 21 yard field goal is GOOD

---> DET (24) @ SF (10) <---
DET has 4th & 2 at the SF 28, Q3 07:03
Recommendation (MEDIUM): Go for it (+2.2 WP)
Actual play: (Shotgun) J.Goff pass incomplete short left to J.Reynolds.

---> DET (24) @ SF (27) <---
DET has 4th & 3 at the SF 30, Q4 07:32
Recommendation (MEDIUM): Go for it (+2 WP)
Actual play: (Shotgun) J.Goff pass incomplete deep right to A.St. Brown.

2nd one was kind of a bad drop, 3rd one was a terrible throw. run worse, seriously

Strahan is just the worst

People are dumb. Like really really dumb. Both 4th down decisions were correct. Wouldn't waste your time arguing with anyone. Would be like arguing with a young earth creationist or a holocaust denier. No point.

Lol yes fair enough, just always surprising on a poker forum re this stuff

by master3004 m

Lol, who can possibly hate Kittle?

is there something about tight ends that just make them a wild fun type

kittle
gronk
kelce

Olsen: If you're gonna run it here on 3rd down you have to make it

Narrator: He didn't make it

I go for it in the 1st and 2nd case. I dont want any momentum to the niners. In the 3rd case is a more difficult decision, I dont hate going for it.

Results-oriented confirmation bias is a hell of a drug.

The players aren’t robots though. You don’t think the players feel/play differently based on being down 3 possessions midway through the 3rd vs making a huge stop on a gamble play?
