Holy ****

Whew

damn the lions had a legit chance there. that rarely happens on onsides anymore

lions cover never in doubt

It you plugged "To go up 3 scores to get to the Super in 3rd Q against a team having trouble scoring" into the formula, the computer would break out laughing, then melt down, then explode. Has nothing to do with being results oriented.

fire your computer programmer in this example

I really don't know why you're running it on 3rd down there at all though

Yeah, that was bad. Lost a TO and narrowed their path to a win. Run had to be a huge advantage over a pass for it to make sense, and nobody was surprised on 9ers D.

so annoying, would have been awesome

by ligastar m

but he should've gone for the 1st down

As a road dog looking down the jaws of the SB? I'm willing to fudge the math slightly in that situation.

Dan Cambells wife was just quoted as saying "my husband can't catch the ball too"

not his fault friends, be real. he made the call, but dude flat out dropped it

LOL the fact they are having trouble scoring counts against your argument champ

still minimal win equity if you don't run it on that 3rd and goal. coaching meltdowns ftw.

On a formation like that with running it, you should put another back or two back with the QB in case of fumble you have 3 defenders.

fair

NFL kickers are 100% from 45 yds

KC 50
SF -2

Why do you think going for it was incorrect though? Thats the point. He didnt start anything. Seems like Lions more likely to win if you go for it there than if you kick the FG.

Then Reynolds just drops it.

People are dumb. Like really really dumb. Both 4th down decisions were correct. Wouldn't waste your time arguing with anyone. Would be like arguing with a young earth creationist or a holocaust denier. No point.

No it doesn't, chump.

fellagaga = captain hindsight

if reynolds makes the standard catch the game is virtually iced, air is out of the building entirely.

~50 yd fg still decent chance of miss in which case even better field position

no more second guessing, just accept lions are eternally cursed

Congrats SRM. Good luck in the SB.

Agree but the run play on third down is horrendous.

I think the second call to go for it on 4th was worse. 47 yarder to tie the game with 7 minutes left. No guarantee you get a TD even if you make the first.

I agreed with all of the Lions decisions up until they ran on 3rd and goal from the 1 and then called a timeout. Horrendous.

Whew

I have no desire to dance on the graves of lions fans, I wish you no ill will and this has to ****ing hurt

But i am so happy right now

That's the peak of the Lions resurgence. Unless Campbell is even better than we think (and we think he's very good).
