**** 2024 Season-Long NFL PEEHS! ****
Hello again, football fans!
It’s that time of year again! The premier, flagship contest of SE, Season-Long NFL PEEHS, is returning for its 12th season, the second under my stewardship. When Kris ran this contest, I always appreciated how much fun it was, and how it brought this diverse little community of football fans together. With his blessing, I’ll be running it again, for hopefully the best installment yet!
But I may need help. I work, and it’s a long season through the holidays, and I know I won’t be available for the Thanksgiving reveals. I’d like for last year’s go-to guest revealer Rawlz517 to be able to step in, if he’s available, or I’ll take any volunteers if he’s not. If schedules change, we’ll play it by ear.
I’ve never played PEEHS before, what is it?
PEEHS is basically a fun, free NFL football futures contest. You make an entry by giving answers to the 25 questions before the season starts, and I reveal the answers once a week as the season goes along. For every question, your answer will either be CORRECT, or INCORRECT.
If your answer is CORRECT, your score for that question will simply be the number of people who selected your same correct answer. If you’re the only person to select your correct answer, that’s an ACE! …and your score for that question is 1.
If your answer is INCORRECT, then your score for that question is the number of people who picked the SHEEP answer (most popular answer), plus the number of different correct answers submitted for that question. The SHEEP (most popular answer) can be either correct or incorrect; all that matters is the number of people who selected the SHEEP.
Therefore it’s most important to be CORRECT in all your answers, but also be among the fewest participants that select your correct answers.
Scores add up per question over the season. Lowest score wins.
Our reigning 2023 Champion is pwnsall!
How do I enter?
Anyone can enter by sending me a single-spaced, non-numbered PM with your answers. Please correctly spell first AND last names for player names, and just use mascots for team names.
Since we get questions on this every year...

Good luck and let us football!!!
Alright boys, and MrsWookie, and any other ladies we have in the PEEHS field,
let's wrap this thing up tonight.
Who's here? It's time for the Question 24 Reveal!
24. Name a player (kicker or otherwise) to score at least 110 points during the regular season.
For this question, we had 30 correct answers, and 18 incorrect answers.
We'll start by reviewing the incorrects first.
The most popular incorrect, though not the SHEEP, was played by 5 players, including yours truly. I went with my boy Younghoe Koo, the Falcons kicker, and he was having a great season. Made a 58 yarder with the game on the line, and several other clutch kicks. Sadly, he went on IR with an injury, and then his backup Riley Patterson missed a long kick against Washington that could have sent us to the playoffs. So it goes. Anyway, Koo just missed, notching 101 points on the season, in 14 games.

The next most popular incorrect was played by 4 contestants. Chiefs' kicker Harrison Butker has been a reliable kicker on a good offense for a long time, but he went on IR for left knee surgery and missed 4 games. He finishes 2024 with 92 points.

Our next incorrects were played by 2 entrants. Cairo Santos of the Bears played in all 17 games, but only scored 88 points.

For our SHEEP, we have three separate 6-point corrects. Noted kicking cyborg Brandon Aubrey finished 2nd in the NFL in scoring at 150 points, going an unfathomable 14-17 from 50+, with a long of 65.

Our final 6-point co-SHEEP is the Eagles' kicker Jake Elliott. He had an astounding fantasy season in 2023, and his 2024 has been... uneven. The thoughtful, sensitive, and nurturing Philly fans let him know in the playoffs, where he can't be bothered to make extra points... as long as he can keep making clutch, long field goals. In 2024, he finished with 131 points.

Our next corrects are a whopping FIVE 2-point answers.
Former XFL star Jake Bates kicks for a great offense, and he scored 142 points in 2024.

Our next 2-point correct is a guy with a forgettable name who's been a consistent and above average kicker for some time now. Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders scored 137 points in 2024.

For our next 2-point correct, Justin Tucker showed in 2024 that he's apparently mortal, working through a midseason slump. He's still the best kicker in NFL history for me, although maybe I take Vinatieri for one kick with my life on the line. Tucker scored 126 points this year.

Our next 2-point correct is the Bills' kicker Tyler Bass, who scored 131 points in 2024.

Our final 2-point correct is Denver's kicker Wil Lutz, who scored 139 points.

Question 24 closes with two aces.
Seattle has a fine kicker as well, in Jason Myers. He scored 115 points this year.
MrWookie
Our final ace is Minnesota's kicker, the Alabama rookie Will Reichard. Alabama was known for their kickers coming up with kickahhhhhh moments, but Reichard's been outstanding this year. He notched 110 points on the dot for the correct!
smartDFS
With a SHEEP score of 6, plus 10 different corrects submitted, incorrects will receive a score of 16 for this question.
Here are the scores after 24 questions!
Our previous podium all posted 6 points for that one, but MrWookie rockets up to 2nd on the back of his ace!
So it comes down to this.
The final question.
I love the final question. It's fairly easy to go safe, and get it right. But how many people will go chalk? Maybe it's better to take a risk, and go with a more medium-bad team?
...And who knows what the rest of the field will do.
Our SHEEP score for this question is 12, and we have 10 different correct answers submitted.
So incorrect scoring for this question is 22.
These are the scores within 22 points of first:
For this question, we have 33 correct answers, and 15 incorrect answers.
Let's reveal our leader cokeboy99 first.
Whom did he select?
And are they correct?
Spoiler
YES.
With a point differential of -128!
And how many players selected them?
Spoiler

That means cokeboy99 is IN THE CLUBHOUSE with 201 points, with the rest of the question to be revealed!
He has CLINCHED the 2024 PEEHS Contest!
Congratulations!
We also revealed that royalblue selected the Patriots as well, to give him 3 points also.
That puts him in the clubhouse at 208, with our current 2nd place being MrWookie at 203.
MrWookie needs 4 points or less to clinch 2nd place, or 5 points to tie.
Whom did he select?
Are they correct?
And how many players selected them?
Spoiler
SEVEN.
