Hello again, football fans!
It’s that time of year again! The premier, flagship contest of SE, Season-Long NFL PEEHS, is returning for its 12th season, the second under my stewardship. When Kris ran this contest, I always appreciated how much fun it was, and how it brought this diverse little community of football fans together. With his blessing, I’ll be running it again, for hopefully the best installment yet!
But I may need help. I work, and it’s a long season through the holidays, and I know I won’t be available for the Thanksgiving reveals. I’d like for last year’s go-to guest revealer Rawlz517 to be able to step in, if he’s available, or I’ll take any volunteers if he’s not. If schedules change, we’ll play it by ear.
I’ve never played PEEHS before, what is it?
PEEHS is basically a fun, free NFL football futures contest. You make an entry by giving answers to the 25 questions before the season starts, and I reveal the answers once a week as the season goes along. For every question, your answer will either be CORRECT, or INCORRECT.
If your answer is CORRECT, your score for that question will simply be the number of people who selected your same correct answer. If you’re the only person to select your correct answer, that’s an ACE! …and your score for that question is 1.
If your answer is INCORRECT, then your score for that question is the number of people who picked the SHEEP answer (most popular answer), plus the number of different correct answers submitted for that question. The SHEEP (most popular answer) can be either correct or incorrect; all that matters is the number of people who selected the SHEEP.
Therefore it’s most important to be CORRECT in all your answers, but also be among the fewest participants that select your correct answers.
Scores add up per question over the season. Lowest score wins.

Anyone can enter by sending me a single-spaced, non-numbered PM with your answers. Please correctly spell first AND last names for player names, and just use mascots for team names.

All questions are for the 2024 NFL Regular Season.
1. Name a team that won its 2023 opener, that will lose their opener in 2024.

13. Name a player to score at least 1 point in a WINNING EFFORT in a game on Thanksgiving (Ru/Rec/Ret TD ok, kickers ok, passing TD’s excluded).
14. Name a defensive player with 2+ interceptions by the end of Week 14.
15. Name a team leading (or co-leading) its division by the end of Week 15.
16. Name a defensive player in the Top 20 for Total Tackles by the end of Week 16.
17. Name a team with a playoff spot clinched by the end of Week 17.

23. Name a team that will defeat the Kansas City Chiefs during the regular season.
24. Name a player (kicker or otherwise) who will score at least 110 points during the regular season (passing TD’s excluded for this question).
25. Name a team to finish the season with a negative point differential (0 = incorrect).

Our next most popular correct was played by 6 contestants. The Tennessee Titans have earned the first overall pick in the draft in a few months, and look to move on from the Will Levis Era. They posted a point differential of -149.

Our next corrects are a pair of 2-pointers. I was CURSING my selection of the New Orleans Saints by week 2, after they blew out the Panthers and the Cowboys the first two weeks. Fortunately for me, my suspicions of them having the worst O-line in the league, and being in perpetual cap hell finally came home to roost. They finished with a PD of -60.

Remember back in August? The New York Jets sure were getting a lot of helium heading into this year.
Then the games started.
They just hired a well-regarded former player, so maybe they can build a new culture there. I think that has to start with drop-kicking ARod out of the building.
