2025 NFL Off Season Thread
Key Dates
February
February 18 – The first day clubs can designate franchise or transition players.
February 24-March 3 –
Noo!
Seriously, neither of these players need to do that a ~week after the SB.
The Eagles are going to let Milton and Sweat walk.. and probably for the comp picks.
Maybe Becton, too, which will hurt a little.
Isiah Rogers... I not sure.
well, Kupp is gonna be 32 next year and hasn't played a full season since 2021. plus, he has the short-area quickness but not great athleticism otherwise, so once that goes, it's probably gonna go quick (if it hasn't already-- a lot of WRs experience severe drop-off after 30).
his per-game numbers have been in decline as well, and Nacua fills his role just fine.
Adams is only six months older than him even though he was drafted three years prior. (Kupp is actually older than Mike Evans.)
I don't think they will or should do it but I wonder what the trade market would be for Chase.
Would someone give up a 1 and a 2? Probably.
Certainly. Just turned 25 and arguably the best receiver in the league (unless you think it's Justin Jefferson).
I mean, assuming it's a contending team, maybe even two firsts. I dunno if a team picking in the top 3 would give up a first. But I dunno how much Chase could add to a team that bad.

Would someone give up a 1 and a 2? Probably. Because then you start thinking....$40m extra on the cap plus two cost controlled and hopefully good players and maybe Tee can prove he actually is a #1.
Also can replace Micah Parsons for Chase in this example
i'm not sure what the market is for Tee. it has to be robust, no?
i'm half expecting to hear him being traded in the next 48 hrs to NE for their 2nd Round pick (#38) and their second 3rd Round pick (#77) from the Matthew Judon deal w ATL
i wouldn't hate this. this would give CIN five of the top 81 picks. i would expect CIN to trade back w one of their first three picks (a Cincy special) to create even more picks
i want both weak ass lines fortified. this would be an avenue towards accomplishing this goal. furthermore, we'd be able to target a decent WR in the late second/early third round range. a WR such as Trey Harris (Ole Miss), Jayden Higgins (Iowa St.) or Jalen Royals (Utah St.)
probably. I didn't watch much Rams last year. Success rate on passed to Kupp was a little higher than ones to Davante but you'd guess that Adams' size and skillset might be more enduring than someone like Kupp who relies so much on quickness
yep
i'd be worried if my FO targeted Kupp or Deebo this off-season
chasing past ELITE physical specimens wouldn't be my cup of tea
sorry heels spending the Benjamins this afternoon
3/100/55 Darnold to seapoops
Rodgers to Steelers plz
I'm probably the biggest Milton Williams fan, but WTF?
I have a feeling that the Seahawks will have buyer's remorse in about 8 months.
Market for Darnold must've been terrible. I am not sure what the Seahawks are doing.
Fields to the Jets. Don't hate it.

From the Seahawks perspective I don’t think I hate it that much
They got draft capital for Geno while replacing him with a younger, cheaper version of him. They aren’t on the hook for all that much for Darnold and it doesn’t preclude them from going qb next year
Darnold deal seems fine to me. $33MM per year in the current market is cheap, and it sounds like they can get out of it easily if/when it doesn't work.
He's seven years younger than Geno, costs less, and they got an extra third-round pick.
They should probably draft a QB also. Kind of like when they signed Matt Flynn and drafted Russ in the same year. People ripped on the Matt Flynn deal, but that was also below the average QB deal and was easy to get out of. If you don't have a QB, you should be taking multiple shots at finding one.
God damnit. Hufanga to the boncos
Unless the Seahawks improve their Oline Darnold will be a disaster. Seahawks had the 30th ranked Oline. Darnold does not do well under pressure: see the Rams v Vikings playoff game.
Seattle clearly isn’t counting on Darnold to be more than a low risk flier. If he sucks they move on without losing much, if he doesn’t great they got a value signing
Fields with $20m per and $30m g is really something
Interesting....
Patriots going hard at D in free agency. Am sure they’ll spend more but it feels like they’re gonna need to go very hard at the O on draft night. Their skill positions are truly awful
