Milf hunter to the Phins. I don't hate it if Tua's brains get scrambled again.

LOL wat? Seriously?

south beach must be prime hunting ground

everyone out here hitting up Dolce & Gabbana and Hermes, while on the other side of town Mike Brown is dumpster diving behind Marshalls

how much did Godwin really turn down given tax differences?

I am very disappointed in a number of posters itt.

The apparent disrespect towards nath is unwarranted.

He is a true 2p2 OG and one of the most intelligent posters I have ever had the pleasure of interacting with on this forum.

What did I miss?

What did I miss?

Nothing nearly as bad as it used to be around here. I appreciate McLovin looking out though.

Back on topic... I was out of the house most of the day but tried to keep up with everything. Saints lose Paulson Adebo to the Giants at what I believe is 3/54, but they keep Chase Young for 3/51. Young was their best edge rusher last year and arguably deserved a Pro Bowl spot. Never gonna be the player he was hoped to be coming out of college, but a quality enough player and long-term Cam Jordan replacement to be worth keeping.

Not sure if they're gonna be out of the market or try to hold onto the Adebo comp pick or what. Rumor's going around that they're interested in Asante Samuel Jr.

How I expect today to go...

Proposed bet to any reputable poster IF Rodgers goes to Pittsburgh.

I'll take NYJ total season wins over PIT total season wins.

Your $100 to my $50

CJGJ for Kenyon Green (more or less). Can Green's 5th year options still be picked up? I assume Becton is gone.

Saints also re-sign Juwan Johnson.

Solid player, although there is something funny about how many of these guys they pretty much have to re-sign or extend to keep void year dead money from hitting the cap.

Hurts talking to Trump is probably not a great idea. Is that why CJGJ was traded?

I think CJGJ at this point just has a proven history of wearing out his welcome.

  • Traded from New Orleans to Philadelphia during his rookie contract
  • Philly lets him walk, he signs a one-year deal with Detroit
  • Philly signs him again to a three-year deal
  • Philly trades him to Houston after one year

Have you dared look at the Saints 2026 cap table yet?

No. At this point I figure I should just wait for Mickey or Gayle to die.

Or at least don't give Mickey final say on personnel. Never confirmed this, but rumor from some Saints insiders is that Jeff Ireland was pounding the table in 2023 to use their second round pick on Brian Branch, and Loomis overruled him to take Isaiah Foskey. You can probably figure out on your own how well that decision worked out.

Okay somehow the Saints managed to find money to sign Justin Reid

It certainly doesn’t look like there’s any acceptance that they need to think beyond the short term. I don’t follow the team closely but it doesn’t seem as if there’s any dissatisfaction within the ownership group around their position, progress and prospects?

It’s the clearest example of transactional decision making I’ve seen in sports

I'm still not sure what happened with the ownership group. Tom Benson was grooming his daughter Rita Benson LeBlanc to take over the team, then at some point there was some family drama and his new wife Gayle became the point person on that and has been running the team since he died. I don't know the specifics.

Loomis has been there since 2002 so I guess he's in very good with ownership, even if most of his success came from signing off on Sean's decisions. And he's 68 so he certainly doesn't have much interest in what's gonna be a multi-year rebuild. Might be retired or dead by the time they're good again if he does that, so he's just gonna keep pushing his chips to the middle and hoping it works out.

I'm not sure who is responsible for the mediocrity right now, but the Saints needed to blow it up after Brees retired, and they just refuse to do that. So we have no idea if that is Benson, Loomis, or both of their decisions.

Rita also sounds like she would have been an abysmal owner (also unhinged) from the 5 minutes I just read about her.

feels like we're reverting back to the OG 29ers from a decade ago

by REDeYeS00 k

for a split second i thought that was the eagles roster after #2 Chip swung his broadsword. then i just LOL'd at the 29ers (called that because the other 20 have quit since last season's 54 man roster).

Seriously nobody has mentioned Danny dimes signed on to potentially unseat AR-15? Wild times guys

How good? Or let me rephrase this, how bad will the Jets be with Justin Fields?
