70 yrd fg is nice. But I really prefer a 27 yrd end of game, critical, soul crushing doink. Just different people enjoying the same game.
All it took was a head coach named Liam for the Jags to start looking like a true futbol team.
TBF, Shiter looked good at times. There were some plays though were he made very bad decisions. Against a good defense he wouldn't have looked very good.
If the dude can remain more humble and listen to his coaches he could do alright. The Johnny Manziel path is still a possibility though.
The worst thing that can happen to sure durrrr is that the hype off of the first preseason game when nobody tries and no first team plays makes haslem force the team to start him
Whether he looked decent or not is irrelevant. He played 2nd teams showing nothing and is nowhere close to nfl ready. This can only end hilariously unless cooler heads prevail

This is a great post with excellent content, unlike some of your posts in Politics.
There’s a moral to this story, you see

rule change allowing kickers more time to break in the balls = a new era of long kicks probably
news you can use, perhaps
related: lambs punter was booting 80 yard kicks too
has taken awhile, but FOOTball has finally arrived
I just caught a clip of Kellen Moore's post-game presser.
Cancel the scavenger hunt! Payton's stash of speed has been discovered.
Sando's (actually 50 NFL coaches and execs) annual QB Tiers list for 2025
A Tier 1 quarterback can carry his team each week. The team wins because of him. He expertly handles pure-passing situations. He has no real holes in his game.
T1 - JOE
T1 - Mahomey
3 - Joshua
4 - LJack
5 - Stafflah
A Tier 2 quarterback can carry his team sometimes but not as consistently. He can handle pure-passing situations in doses and/or possesses other dimensions that are special enough to elevate him above Tier 3. He has a hole or two in his game.
6 - Jayden
7 - Herbert
8 - Goff
T9 - C.J.
T9 - Mr. Tush Push
11 - Shake 'n Bake
12 - DAK ATTACK
13 - Love
14 - Mr. Irrelevant
A Tier 3 quarterback is a legitimate starter but needs a heavier running game and/or defensive component to win. A lower-volume dropback passing offense suits him best.
15 - Kyler
16 - Fraudgers
17 - Tua (Mr. one hit away from being out of the league) Tagovailoa
18 - TLaw
19 - Genoooo
20 - Bo
21 - Darnold
22 - The Drake
23 - Caleb
24 - Bryce
25 - Cousins

Stafford, Stroud, Kyler, Rodgers, Tua, Darnold and Cousins too high.
No respect for the year 2 QBs.
Stafford is not a top 5 QB, or at least not a QB whose team wins because of him.
They were 2-2 last year when they didn't have Puka and Kupp, and 0-1 with just Puka out.
His lines in those 2 wins
14/23, 154, 0/1, QBR 33.6
16/25, 221, 1/0, QBR 66.7

Well if itβs two whole games then the sample size is clearly robust enough to draw conclusions from
Stafford has had a Top 5 QBR only once in his career.
That's once in 16 seasons, and it was 4 years ago.
Hopefully that's a big enough of a sample size.
to be fair, I would have Stafford at the top of the second tier. I don't think he's in with the big 4
likewise I'd create different tiers and create a gap between Hurts and Mayfield.
I don't have a problem with the 2nd year QBs being down. We need to see at least one more year with them, how defences adjust etc. We were all ready to crown CJ Stroud 12 months ago and he wasn't as good in 2024 And we all remember a certain someone having Richardson ahead of Josh Allen 12 months ago
the Cousins ranking is puzzling and I guess is a comment on his health. Maybe he never gets back to where he was in 2023 before the Achilles but I'd slot him into that range just around Kyler if he was.
also it's savage l on Kenny Pickett to have him below Spencer Rattler!

It’s all silly rankings, but Stroud had a worse year 2, yet is T9 on this list.
Jayden deserves to be where he is, but Nix/Maye behind guys like Geno, Rodgers, Darnold, even Trevor, is level 1 thinking of well we just need to see more. Guys like Kyler and Tua have also been relatively disappointing given expectations and draft capital and are mostly what they are.
Caleb, JJM, and Penix all have their own respective uncertainty.
Last year’s class has a chance to be really good on the whole.
Penix is below Cousins, yet starting ahead of Cousins. Cousins is closer to being out of the league than top 15.

If you compare Nix and Mayeβs years to Darnold or Kylerβs they werenβt better. Itβs baking in potential to rank them ahead and thatβs not what the survey is doing.
Iβm super high on Maye. I just donβt think he can be ranked too high after 10 starts
No way stafford should be ranked 5th.
