Playoff baseball is the best
I was kind of surprised Shohei was named the MVP for the series - he sure deserved it for this game but in truth it should have been a group award to the pitching staff - they won the series. IMO no one hitter really stood out throughout the series.
I think if Ohtani had hit one less HR the NLCS co-MVPâs would have been Snell/Yamamoto. The 3rd HR just put it over the top. The Snell/Yamamoto combo just demoralized the Brewers. They knew they had no shot after those two games.
Vlad is having one of the all time great postseasons so far. 1.532 OPS. 6 HRs in 39 ABs and only two KS. He has an outside chance at tying or exceeding the record for HRs in a single season, which is ten.
I highly doubt he will get there against the Dodgers starting pitching, but it isn't impossible.
