2025 NFL Season Thread: Can Uncle Rico save the Broncos or will they be Nixed?
Greetings friends.
Those of you who know me know me as a Niners fan full of fantastical levels of vitriol and rage. I hav
You mean just as far as calculating %? I mean a TD is considered a first down for stat purposes, so definitely. If you mean like does it "count extra" or something, then no.
ty sir
Could be a trade deadline acquisition for a team looking to bring a glue guy to the locker room
i lol'd
Hahahaha. Ben Johnson was an *******, and still is. John Morton is the new based god.
Donovan McNabb had the same reaction many years back at the end of OT, IIRC.
I have so much trouble wrapping my mind around the concept of not even knowing ties were possible, like did you not ever look at the standings and see the "T" column, or wonder why sometimes a team's record is listed as x-y and sometimes it's x-y-z? Or like...listen to the ****ing speech the ref gives at the beginning of overtime?
I'm assuming for some players, the answer is no they never look at any of that, and their life is just learn the playbook, go to practices and meetings, play their ass off and let me know when/where the next game is, lol.
lol for this week, DK has Gibbs to score ATTD at -350. 2 ATTD is +145.
Interesting chart.
He did and got a lot of crap for it in Philly. I think it was Eagles-Bengals.
I ran into Vaughn Hebron at a restaurant a few years ago and he lost a bet to me about a PI call being overturned because the ball was tipped. I would guess that a decent amount of players don't know the rules if they are rare or doesn't usually occur for the position they play.

Probably position-dependent. All DBs obviously have this internalized because they know the millisecond they see the ball get tipped at the line they can basically take their receiver out.
Gbebe im sure youre down on the ravens. But they'll recover a bit, i agree with the lunatic above that Lamar is fine and just quit Sunday. They're 4-5 spots too low. Their oline and defense is pretty bad right now though. Colts too high, but I get it. Bengals too high, they just got curb stomped 2 games in a row-badly. Titans are so, so bad. Ward is a bust. Im confident af
The defense is incredibly cooked. Humphrey and Roquan both out probably multiple weeks, Wiggins they haven't even made an announcement on, Broderick & Van Noy still out and Madubuike is done for the year (and maybe longer, who knows). We are going to give up so many points, Lamar and the offense will need to be perfect and that has its own problems.
But even before all these injuries it was bad. Sadly the injuries might actually buy Orr more time as DC but it is clear he is out of his element. If the season goes further south it could be Harbaugh's last. Should have got ahead of it and never let Mike McDonald go.
Second half schedule is substantially easier, but still have HOU and LAR up next. Could be 1-5.
Colts defense needs to be separated into when Moore is healthy or when Howard has to play for him. Decent in the former, bottom in the latter
Line only moved from houston +3.5 to now -1.5 with his fake injury becoming real. Did not take the +3.5 figured I would have till thursday for the ruse to unfold. But I dont feel like I mised out, what is vegas sayin? Rush has a chance?
And "lunatic" maybe accurate, but can we get with the times and use the proper terminology? Its called a Vitamin deficiency. Thank you.
between UI and the Colts this is shaping up to be one of the funniest football seasons for the state of windiana ever
Did this ****er just call them UI?
Firsttime?.gif
it was very intentional folks, almost added a disclaimer but thought it would be interpreted as speaking down to this crowd
YOU GOT ME YOU RASCAL!

The Niners should be much lower.
The Broncos should be much higher. Possibly as high as 4.

2025 NFL Thread: Love & Dak 'Check-Raise' to 80 Points, But Nobody Cashes Out
This is relevant to Jags but, a lot of teams right now. Turnover "luck" is a stat that is tracked at the analyst level. Simply put teams will look at each turnover and grade it depending on if it was "intentional" or a mistake was made that worked to a teams benefit. You'd be surprised at how often turnovers are not lucky but rather a reaction or move to a tendency that teams recognize.
One thing that has happened this year is teams employed mixed martial artists coaches that normally work with DBs/WRs/DL/OL with hand fighting. It was taken to another step for a few teams and engagement through the ball was taught(peanut punch).
Jaguars are one of the teams that brought in one of these style of coach and has seen at least 2 turnovers based on it. And one thing that is interesting is the trailing player. It's being coached to trail a potential punch rather than gang tackle. It's super interesting and a new wrinkle being added.
Longwinded way of saying that previously these may have been scored "lucky" are now being scored as "strategic."
The horrific trade up for Tre Lance is starting to hit the Niners hard. Had they not made that move and kept their picks they may have won a Super Bowl. Now they are slowly aging out with nothing to replenish their stars. Bosa is done for the year. CMC will not make it through the year. Aiyuk is not close to being healthy. They had to pay Purdy given no other choices but it will end up being a horrible contract. Letting Dre Greenlaw go is criminal. They are a fraudulent 3-1. They remind me of the Steelers. They will be just good enough to get a draft pick in the 15-20 range. The future is bleak for this team. I feel sorry for it's fans.
