All respect and hopeful good healing to Vonn. Predicting she will talk of another comeback. She can't turn it off. Like Tiger and MJ -- Tiger thru all the injuries and the destroyed leg, MJ even at his Hall-of-Fame induction -- there just is no turning it off for some personality types.
Snowboard cross looks like it would be more fun to participate in than any other sport in the Winter Olympics. Constant chaos.
That was surely one of the biggest meltdowns in the history of the Winter Olympics.
We remain the kings of teatray
Speaking of odds, Shiffrin is +225 to medal in the GS and -700 in the slalom, but DK isnβt offering a prop bet she gets shut out.
Saw a couple of concerning comments from her after that ungodly choke along the lines of, βI know most people only watch the Olympics, but itβs just part of a long season blah blahβ.
Always a gigantic red flag from female athletes. One day they wake up and theyβre just over it. Happened famously to Hope Solo & Ronda Rousey, and numerous golfers & tennis players. As stated above itt, Vonn is quite the exception.
I hope Iβm wrong but Iβd bet $200 at +1056 that Iβm not.
A Chinese American quantum mechanics Stanford student who makes $20m+ yearly as a model. Oh and favorite for two golds in freestyle ski, already won silver in what is supposed to be her third best event, slopestyle. Competes for China.
I like speed skating. Short stack for chaos and long track for athletic beauty on display. It's the winter Olympics version of track.
If only more countries competed. At this point, as a Dutchman, I'm honestly kind of embarrassed whenever we win, but also when we don't.
I prefer Summer olympics for the illusion that everyone has similar odds to compete (given talent and determination).
US womens curling team is really crushing it, looks like another win
Men of course struggling without Shustah

Thanks, I read how everyone is in a fussy over her competing for China, yet being born/raised/trained in USA. and also how NBC is spamming coverage of her.
Lucas Pinheiro Braathen won the giant slalom today. He is the first athlete from South America to win a medal at the Winter Olympics, ever! To be fair, he's half Brazilian, half Norwegian.

UK's first ever gold medal on snow. Nice.
