LOL

That's a pen.

How do you do the dive gesture with your hand and not dare to give the yellow?

What a game, what a world cup.

jorLuck Boxford should have gotten it out of his net a second time there and not a minute later Kane is lucky to dodge the caution

I'm guessing you mistyped and meant "dive" gesture? Yeah, I agree. Once you do that gesture, it's basically a lock yellow.

Wasn't expecting every ref to turn into prime Collina this WC

Doctor Kongo keeper GΓ–AT Γ–AT.

yeah sorry, dive gesture. if you're brave enough to show it's a dive you gotta follow it up, coward

They should bring on Foden or Palmer to shake things up

Disappointed we didn't get to see Harry sail one over the top

Doctor Kongo keeper's nuts GΓ–AT Γ–AT.

fmp

Think England still take this.

Pretty unlucky they haven't scored.

England are being CM 00/01 super keepered

yeah it was a great call on the dive, def should have showed arry the yellow

who is this dumbass yank on the other broadcast? i stg the country doesn't have 1 good announcer...

nuts save

Zlatan and Henry both say it's a penalty.

Of course their keeper having an absolute worldie, and the worst no pen call of all time (since the Ghana game).

I watched the replay several times. I think there was a bit of marginal contact by the keeper, but Kane could have done a much better job of playing in a way that initiated more clear contact. He deadlegged too much and too early.

German TV just said last time IngerLΓ–Lnd came back from a deficit in a WC match was in the 1966 final. So basically never, because that one they stole.

It seemed like Kane was falling down before keeper made contact. I like no pen and no yellow.

so then it''s def not (combined 3 braincells)

I don't think it's as clear a dive as to warrant a yellow. What Cina and I are saying is that, as a ref, if you're going to do the dive gesture, then you should show a yellow. Or rather, don't be a **** and show a random dive gesture, is probably the better way to phrase it.

I've caught a bit of Fox coverage during the 1st round. Henry is okay but Zlatan & Lalas are really tough to watch.

Agreed.

I don't think I agree with the Mbappe non call where referee said "attacker initiated contact" or something similar, but I do like the general direction of refereeing they are attempting this tournament. At least that's what I think it is, when it doesn't favor the big dogs like France, England, I am more inclined to think of it as such rather than subconscious home/overdog bias.

I'm not sure if this leniency (elsewhere on the pitch) works at club level where it might more quickly result in an excessively physical meta, but I admire their efforts.

That's a standing O during a baseball game.
