sorry to start a conspiracy theory...
but has anyone else noticed guys with phones on the table ledge that they aren't using for regular phone stuff (never see them pick it up to text, call, skip a song, etc) all angled so the top is pointing at the center of the table... and they always have big stacks? i've run into 3 of these guys that i've noticed so far. none of them are getting wildly out of line nor being obvious (so maybe i'm just being paranoid) but i watched them all build big stacks b
I have seen this kind of thing before that I strongly suspected cheating. No crazy out of line play but always wins at showdown in weird spots. But also playing tight. Also the action was super weird, the flow of play was... off, and the players' mannerisms while playing was weird. Like they weren't engaged and thinking. No furrowed brows or eye movements or any other little human thing that indicated they were engaged in thinking about a poker game. This went on for three days and on the 4th day I went in with the intent to be pretty brazen about trying to figure out how it was happening but they had moved on. One of the first things I was going to look for was phone shenanigans.
I think this kind of thing is definitely out there and people should be on the lookout.
No new tournaments until the jackpot hits! Cash games only until further notice. Every time the jackpots high I see ppl I haven't seen in years from RW, AC and Parx coming in to take a stab at the 420 k
What is qualifier for bad beat?
55, and you must use two cards (for quads and SF)
Played 24 hours over the past 48 hours. Sat at almost every stakes. Small win of 1200--I'll take it. (Took down a 3k pot to get unstuck. fistpump.jpg.) Couldn't hit one set in 24 hours of pure play. Not doxxing myself, but if you were at my table, "hi." Friday had me waiting over 3 hours on every list. Thank god for the bar at Chop House.
I tried searching this thread but I don't understand the comps in real terms. ($/hr., etc.) I used to be the professor of Borgata comps, so I'm sorry of this is explained in another post, and I feel your pain explaining this to a noob; but how do I earn/spend/benefit-from comps here?

you get 70 cents per hour while logged in a game, but you also get daily free spins I'm getting 10 dollars every day I play and just cash out all the winning hands so it probably comes closer to 2/hr if you play the comps right and don't put the winnings back.
The points in your account are in cents, so if you have 25,000 ponts it converts to $250.00. You can use it one for one at restaurants and bars or you can also convert it into free play separate from your daily free play.
If you plan on playing there longer there's an app called wind creek which keeps track of your comps and free play money.

I get $10 free slot play as well when I do play there and I use them on the nearby video poker machines. I cash out the winnings and use them to pay for drinks there.
Not sure if you know, but does the poker room plan on lowering the hand requirements for the bad beat jackpot? Not a big fan of waiting for hours on weekends just to get into a poker game (I'm sure Wind Creek doesn’t mind and wants me to spend $$$ elsewhere while I wait). I assume the long wait times will decrease once the bad beat jackpot finally hits.

By lowering the qualifier it means it won't get this high anymore which won't draw in this much volume which is the point of the jackpot to begin with but from what I've heard they might be considering a capped bbj similar to the Borgata to increase the high hand promotions. IMHO no HH (except the rare ones at parx) will ever draw in as many people as it does when the BBJ's high.
I played my 10 dollars yesterday on the wheel of fortune, and I usually play a dollar a spin but I just cashed out so I was fixing my cash and I had my phone and drink on the machine so I accidently pressed 5 dollars, it hit for 10, then before I can press the 1 dollar button I pressed 5 by mistake again and it hit for 25 so I cashed out after 2 mistake spins and won 35 bucks by accident (I never put the winnings back into the machine, but that's just me).

Personally, I wouldn’t mind a capped BBJ and more high hand promos if it happens. Gives back to the regulars who will no doubt be playing more poker here. I hope to come this Thursday to try to get a piece of the BBJ if it still hasn’t hit by then. I don’t think I have seen it this high in a long while.

The biggest one I was in was 335K, it's been higher before. The only problem with the HH's is they run them on odd times, like sunday at 7pm, never on a Fri or Sat, and if a holiday comes up on a scheduled HH day, they take them away (while Parx and Borgata have extra/higher ones on holidays)!! Is that not a stab in the back to the regs that were loyal there? I would rather have a shot at a big payout instead of a 250/hr HH but that's just me maybe I'm biases since I've hit 4 of them there (so far of course).
I think with only 20 tables, they really have to focus on having promos only when they expect empty tables, regs be damned. The people who actually come for poker will only tolerate so many 3-hr wait times before they play elsewhere.
I'd rather see more massage girls and even an incremental upgrade to that cleaning fluid they call Scotch.
I was there earlier today playing 1/2 NL. From speaking with the dealers there, they are putting in some overtime hours during this busy period. I hope they are making good money as some of them look tired to me.
The breakfast at Mo Burger which used to suck is now fire af[emoji91]ainec
I got a great omlette there two days in a row (they serve breakfast before 11am) ham, cheese and sausage only $19 in points (plus you get a "free" coffee but take it to the market to fill it with better flavored options the coffee at Mo's sucks) LFG!!!
That does look good. When I saw a new update on this thread, I fully expected a comment that the bad beat jackpot was finally hit lol. Can't believe it hasn't been hit yet and I know the room has been pretty busy since the beginning of the year basically. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a piece of the jackpot the next time I come play.

It'll prolly go over 1 million. I feel like half the room is parx and borgata players (I'm not allowed to mention names here but I saw a "professional" from borgata here wearing a suit who wanted to buy me dinner) and half the room is WC, it's like there's an away team on our playing field. I've seen people I haven't seen in as long as 10 years and people keep coming up to me that I don't even remember it's like a family reunion lol. Out of the 4.5 I was in I was never in the hand yet so maybe I'm due then and there were players at some of my tables from out of town actually complaining that people raised/squeezed pre saying "we're not gonna win the bbj like that" and they were serious lmfao.
Imagine what is would be like with the old bus schedule from NYC in place? I don't come here simply for that reason
I usually take my beater truck when I play there, so this never occurred to me: do you guys think the parking area is safe enough for a motorcycle that's not chained to anything? It's not a Harley but it doesn't look terribly cheap for a Japanese cruiser. Would you go indoor or outdoor?
I know a couple players who take the trans bridge regularly, but lately they've had to wait about an hour even after calling in.

I would just park it inside on the 6th floor. It's less crowded up there so you should be able to park it next to the elevator. I've never heard of any thefts from there either inside or outside.

Lol I saw that same “professional” you mentioned a few weeks ago at a 1/2 table without the loud antics. I wonder how packed the room will be after the bad beat jackpot finally hits. I imagine it will somewhat still be busy. The bad beat jackpot has brought a lot of exposure to their poker room and it’s a nice room for the low stakes players in this area. I have checked the Bravo lists during the week and on some days, WC runs more games than Parx.

Yeah, he's not on his home turf so he knows he has to be careful. There's more games here only because of the jack pot, and once it finally hits I'm sure they'll all go back to their own rooms since they're mostly driving an extra distance to play here.
Apparently I suck at 1/2 now :/
Just read on Bravo and on social media that the bad beat finally hit yesterday! Quad 9s vs 10 high straight flush. Was anyone there and have more details?
Also looking for details ... a buddy of mine was up there yesterday. I think he said he was on table 5 and there was a guy there with like $3k (at a 1/2 table) who had been there for like 2 days straight!
My buddy left around 9pm on Sunday after being there from late Saturday night. I told him I'd come on here to see what I could find out for him.
If anyone knows ... What table? What time?
Thanks in advance!
From the video I saw, it looked like it was table 2.
