My full-time online MTT journey. Updated weekly. (5k$ Bankroll start)
Hello everyone!
I'm starting this blog to keep myself accountable and to share my journey with anyone who might be interested.
I have been playing this game for far too long on and off without a proper systematic approach to both BRM, study/schedule/fitness etc.. and this is my effort to change that.
Starting with a 5k$ bankroll I'm looking to play anything between 5-15$ tournaments as the afternoon EU schedule at this buy-in level does have quite big fields. With some shot taking for good tournaments when the BR allows it.
Planning to play 6-tables max (for the time being) 6-9h sessions 5-6 days/week with one/two days completely off.
Schedule on playing days:
Wakeup: 10-11
Quick core exercises/stretches: 15m
Fastened morning walk: 1hr
Breakfast: 12-13~
Study: 13-14~ (going through the previous day marked hands and whatever HRC sim I ran during the night)
Workout: 14:30-15:30~ (3 days/week)
Dinner: 16-16:30~
Pre session warmup: 15m~ GTOW trainer reps focusing on current study area while taking notes of thoughts/ideas/heuristics I may notice.
Meditation: 10m
Grind: Roughly 17-02 registering regular for 4hrs and some turbo/hypers after 4hr mark.
Post session: Categorize snapshots taken during the grind and put them into correct folders for review and set up HRC sims for the night.
Goals:
Play 500~ tournaments/month
Workout: 3 days/week
1hr morning walk every day
Core exercises every day
Go through yesterdays marked hands/HRC sims
Post weekly update with sharkscope stats and PT4 stats.
Be focused during session (a lot of self-talk) no streams, no phone, no distractions.
Get 100k hands to ship for a database review asap.
First update on 29/10, let me know if you have any questions! Good luck fellow grinders!

I like that you have incorporated exercise and mental awareness into your schedule. Is there a reason you are choosing the evening for tournaments? In other words, what tournaments do you actually do well in and when do they run? Just something to keep in mind. This seems well planned so I'm sure it all adds up but don't know if you schedule is based around your "clock" or what time favorable tournaments actually run for you
Yeah for me the mental awareness has been a gamechanger really, so trying to keep it in check. The reason I'm choosing evening is mostly cause I'm a night owl so that makes it easier. Tried the 9-5 grind daytime and it was ok ish, but nothing I'll go back to for the time being.
Of course playing full-time, the daytime do have lower fields so its lower variance, but I feel like I handle the variance that comes with bigger fields ok and I also think they are more exciting and less "grindy". That being said I do fit in several 200-400 field tournaments in a day, so it's not all massive fields. There are positive and negative sides with both schedules in terms of variance, EV and "life EV" for sure.
Actually never really dug deep into my stats on what tournaments are the most EV for me, but I'll keep an eye on that going forwards for sure! Thanks!
cant wait for you to win wsop main & big one 4 one drop. Also u should do well in tritons winning 500k mtts.
Yo! First week done and I have to say not too proud of myself when it comes to the workout/physical activity, but I will try to focus more on that this week and forwards! Now I did have a bunch or IRL stuff I had to do this first week, so that did mess up my volume playing wise, but it was ok and planned for. And I expect a bunch more volume this week.
I will change my 1hr daily fastened morning walk goal to 1hr physical activity a day whatever that may be. (yoga, walking, workout, padel, swimming etc.)
but for the most part it is still going to be walking cause I enjoy it. On nasty weather days I still have my treadmill I can use while grinding/studying.
I have gone through the hands that I have taken screenshots of, which is nice. But I still have a lot of hands I wanna run in HRC of a deep run I had, so that will be the focus this week. Going more in depth in ICM preflop stuff, cause I feel like there is ALOT I need to learn.

Very happy with the results for week 1 and I still managed to play 107 tournaments despite only playing 4 days this week, so 500 a month seems very doable and probably will go above that. The reason it says 142 tournaments in PT4 is cause I have tracked hands since I went down to 6tables max, but the results from sheet is from 22/10.
Happy with my focus although I do usually struggle at 3-4hr mark almost every day. Still trying out different things to get through that period, but it usually only lasts for like 30m-1hr or something and then I'm back. I feel self-talk is very important for this, keeping myself out of C-game and autopilot and really being present in each hands and justify my decisions.
Will try to keep track of my focus for each session and look back at what I did that day and see how it affects me.
But yeah, semi-short update this week and probably will be altering it going forward with some more stats etc.. let me know if there is anything you would like me to include/do differently.
Good luck out there and feel free to ask any questions!
PS:
Burning candle on desk + youtube fireplace video during grind is BIS
Well done dude. Great that you have the self-monitoring ability. I find I can sense when I'm losing focus but its usually right before or right while I'm making major mistakes in my play. Something I still am working on.
