Full Ring Full Time - pitabread189's Journey to $100,000 in 2014
Wow! My name is Peter Chien and I play full ring cash games. I'm 20 years old and I will be graduating from the University of Toronto this year with a degree in English and Economics. When I finish school I'm going to move back home and play poker full time.
Last year's thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/174/po...
Poker Background
I started playing online poker in September 2011. I struggled and broke even for a few months at first but then got staked by C Biscuit Stables and quickly improved with their coaching and help from a bunch of guys in the skype group which has over 150 players now. After I ended my stake I became a partner at C Biscuit and began staking and coaching players. At the end of summer 2012 I was starting to take shots at 100NL but took a break from poker and returned to a big downswing at the beginning of 2013 which resulted me moving back down to 25NL. By summer I was beating 100NL and 200NL and took shots at midstakes which unfortunately failed.
2014 Goals
I'm going to be playing 50-200NL full ring on Pokerstars. I have no plans to move up but I will add in higher stakes if games are good. My goals for the year are to play 1.5 million hands with a 3bb/100 winrate at an average stake of 100. I should get over 300k VPPs and rakeback is about 1.8bb/100 which should bring my total profits at the tables to 72k. I also expect to make a bit of money staking so my overall goal is to end the year with a life roll of 100k. This will require me not only to reach my goals but also save a very large percentage of what I earn.
This is a video I made during the PokerStars Film Festival. I'll continue posting videos on my Youtube channel this year.
Thanks for following 😀
Peter
