Could explain whatdo you mean by less edge to a pro?
I disagree about less edge as a pro in plo, having played a ton of plo and hold 'em. Sure, your best hands don't always have as much equity when called in all in situations preflop compared to hold 'em, but postflop edges are still huge since the bad hands Vs play will flop second best and will be drawing poorly against your stronger range. Also, there are a lot of bluffing opportunities like in hold 'em that allow you to win pots without showdown and you have more information to use with 4 or 5 cards as opposed to just two.
You might have 55-65% equity heads up and all in as a favorite in plo, but upon closer inspection, that's really not that far off from a lot of flips you see in hold 'em as well - AK/pocket pair, AK/unpaired, AQ/KJ etc. Sure you won't have 80% as when you cooler someone AA v. KK but those spots even out in the long run anyway.
When you become good enough you can actually play more hands profitably than you could in hold 'em imo. There are just far fewer hands in hold 'em, and even fewer +EV ones. I think that's where the bigger edge derives from in plo, is the sheer number of playable hands.
