not sure i have ever seen an xG paddlin' like this before

var is such a bore

holy LIV dives batman

obv peno wtf is neville on about

That might be the worst, most delayed dive I’ve ever seen. Wtf is VAR doing here?

Thought it had to be because he could have surely just scored?

Classic case of "I feel the contact so I'm going down". Very poorly executed by Jota, not that it matters anyhow. Had his reaction time not been 2hours, everyone would have said stonewall

Unfortunately there is no "solution" to this

running full tilt and full stretch, any little knock will send you off balance like that. looked natural to me

That was an obvious pen, watch Dubravka's elbow, clips Jota's foot and causes him to plant it toe first

No. He took it a little wide, should still have scored but felt the contact and changed his mind to a dive instead, the decision accounting for the delay.

I don't see how you can plant your left foot like he did THEN go down, looks very unnatural to me

I feel cheated that was even uncomfortable for large spells, what a bumming.

slightly gamed through the peno miss + followup chance but i saw an xg in excess of 7, which must be a record

Newcastle definitely in crisis territory. They e been awful since the Bournemouth loss (with paddling united being the exception)

I am super excited that Salah will not play against us in the FA cup come Sunday. Especially since we have royally sucked the last game, but actually think Pool's playstyle might open the floodgates on both sides.

Newcastle have had a very significant injury/players missing for too much Betfair list.

Also, Rooney about to be sacked. Frees him up nicely for the Manchester United job.

Just realized Arsenal are likely getting two games vs Plop with no Salah

It's one thing to sunrun for 2 years with your own players availability but this is next level

Add dodging Mudryk / Caicedo for 90 a pop as well out of pure luck - we went for both pretty hard. Instead getting Trossard probably an icing on the sun-run cake.

We have been quite blessed with these things. No other way to get close to City tho - let alone win things.

Just googled - seems like the stint at Birmingham was so bad he is taking a bit of a sabbatical afterwards. God knows I would need it if I was forced to spend 13 weeks in Birmingham.

Also completely unrelated to either topics, but I just realized that there is a thing called Asia Cup as well. Terrible news for FPL

They were in the play-off places when they fired the last guy and brought Rooney in. Good work from the 'muricans there.

At least Stevie G is doing well

Michael Carrick taking over from EnronTH would be definitely high on the Christmas came early in 2024 list.

He has the highest managerial credibility out of the old United boys currently (I think?).

I read 'Tom Brady' in Rooney's parting statement and I had to double check, but yupp it is the FTX investor guru himself.

lol I didn't know about the FTX thing or was involved at Birmingham. I'm not particularly familiar with the guy but I would have thought that someone that has spent three decades throwing an egg might not be the right person to be non-exec chairman at a club in a sport where he very likely knows **** all.

If I were him I'd aim for some Kevin Bacon-lookalike gig or something.

He's getting paid the same as KDB to commentate one game a week for less than half the year, don't know why he'd even bother doing anything else

That's amazing. They should hire me, I'll do it for half that.

Disclaimer: I haven't really kept up with that since the Chicago Bears were a thing in the late 80's.
