This really shouldn't be so hard. Caitlyn Jenner won the gold medal when she was formerly competing as Bruce Jenner in then men's decathlon. Since everyone (but the transphobes) call her Caitlyn Jenner today and refer to her as female today, stories about her past just require that tiny bit of clarification that she previously competed in the male division, but it is easy to do

Bruce is a man.

by ganstaman m

A female. Just because she was presenting as male then doesn't mean her identity hasn't been female all along.

Right, the true gender that trans people have an innate, incorruptible connection to since age 3.

How to explain the de-transitioned and this innate, pure insight into true gender?

It isn't a requirement of being a trans person - or a cis person, for that matter - that your inate sense of your gender has been fixed through your entire life. These little gotcha attempts aren't nearly as clever as you think they are.

Bruce is a man.

Adding these little transphobic FYP comments really doesn't help anything. We get it, you don't believe in referring to trans people by the gender they identify with. These little random interjections of yours really do nothing.

Wait, what exactly are you referring to that is not fixed? The gender?

You said this:

Right, the true gender that trans people have an innate, incorruptible connection to since age 3

But that is a strawman. Nobody has claimed that all trans people have some had the, uh, how did you phrase it, innate, incorruptible, connection that is fixed throughout their life.

It’s been said by multiple people, multiple times their true gender identity is “innate”. So the trans innate connection to their true gender is not incorruptible?

I read this post then heard a mic drop to the floor.

On the contrary. His retort was extremely clever.

It was just a friendly reminder. Not intended for you to get triggered to the level you are.

how is this transphobic?

Purposefully misgendering a trans person is obviously transphobic.

by craig1120 m

It’s been said by multiple people, multiple times their true gender identity is β€œinnate”. So the trans innate connection to their true gender is not incorruptible?

Some trans people have experienced an "innate" sense of their gender from a very early age as you suggest, others have had their sense of gender change over time. This happens with sexuality as well.

Who was misgendered? I don’t recall seeing any examples of that in this thread.

Bruce is a man.

These games of yours are neither clever nor funny. They are just transphobic.

by uke_master m

Tell me if I’m understanding the claim.

The claim is that some trans people have an incorruptible sense of their true gender from the beginning, but the connection to true gender for other trans people is impeded and they don’t get the pure insight until later.

If this is correct, what is preventing the pure insight early on for the latter group? How come they don’t have the sacred connection from the beginning?

Calm down, honey. Don’t get your panties in a bunch. It was a simple question.

Then, the de-transitioners would be those who thought they had the sacred connection to their true gender, but later developed the sacred connection, realizing their sex based gender is their true gender. Is this correct? Or do only the actual trans have a true gender?

Next, how can a third party determine who actually has the sacred connection to their true gender and who is impeded and mistaken?

was bruce not competing as a male named bruce at that time?

by ganstaman m

A female. Just because she was presenting as male then doesn't mean her identity hasn't been female all along.

So you're assuming Jenner identified as a female while pursuing the Olympic medal in a men's sporting event? Or has she said that was the case?

Seems hard to believe. But if true, she committed fraud and should have to give the medal back, don't you think?

absolutely not the case

caitlyn is on record that lia thomas should not be allowed to compete against cisgender women in the olympics

Does it actually happen with sexuality? I'd be interested in some resources there

So Caitlyn Jenner doesn’t see Lia Thomas as a female? The plot thickens..

My read of the "sacred connection" stuff is you are trying this not-that-cute little bit where try to create a caricature of what you think trans people feel as a way to make it sound, in your ears, silly. Is that right?

I will cut it out. Do I understand the claims correctly?
