Spent a summer in Lansing once. Too many prisons.
My buddies wife was stationed at Leavenworth... she's a prison guard. I went there to visit and they even let me on base. She's at Pendleton now but going back to Leavenworth and they think she'll get either Korea or Guantanamo in 4 years.
The town itself does not seem like a place I'd want to be although there is a really nice state park on the Missouri side on the Missouri river, Weston Bend SP.

I’ve been very critical of Kanye west since before it was popular to do so.
But I did somewhat like how in one of his famous songs the main line was “I’m not saying she’s a gold digger but…” because of the beat and because he doesn’t actually call someone a gold digger.
I personally don’t believe gold diggers exist and the whole idea is made up by bad men.

I know who Kanye is, and see that he is acknowledged as a very influential song writer and artist. But the truth is I couldn't name a single song of his if my life depended on it. They don't play any on the classic rock stations I listen to and I've never had a KE video (if he makes them) show up on my recommended list.
As far as music goes I have a total blank on KW. Otoh I get kpop stuff showing up all the time so if anyone wants to talk blackpink I'm in. But not in this thread pls. 😀
I was a fan of Kanye’s first album college dropout and his musical production skills but became disillusioned with him shortly there after long before it was popular to do so. I followed his mental health escapades closely for a while, but now he’s dead to me, and I couldn’t tell you anything he’s done in the last year, which is why i made the joke the way I did. I would say I have some pretty deep thoughts about Kanye except that’s really not true because I haven’t thought about him in so long.

He should have been dead to everyone, especially the music industry, after he interrupted an awards ceremony, stole the microphone, and told Taylor Swift that she didn't deserve to win the award she was just presented with.
While I have never deliberately listened to either's music, it's still satisfying to see that she has become the most popular entertainer in the world, while he has become a laughingstock who has to do more and more stupid things in an attempt to stay in the spotlight.
