QJ decision on the turn.
I open QhJh on the button both blinds call This is his first hand for BB so no reads. He looks like he just got off the golf course.
Th9s3c...It's checked to me and I bet, SB folds, BB raises, I call with the intention of raising some turns.
Which turns are you raising and which ones are you just calling assuming the BB bets?
1) 2s
2) 7c
3) Ah

I prefer 3betting to calling and raising turn. I’d raise the Ah but not the other two.
Yeah I usually three bet flop here. I’d raise Ah turn and call the other two
Back in the day it was frowned upon to 3 bet the flop HU IP. The reasoning was it's hard to balance the 3 bet range and good opponents will pound you because they know you are probably weak. Also, delaying information was a good thing. Have opinions about this changed due to solver work or is this how you guy's always played it? I do find that people who have an IP 3 bet range tend to be weak in this situation. I feel like you will get called down more when you are bluffing.
I mean, you can do it with qq 99 and at too. And nobody says you have to bet the turn
The computers will tell you to always bet call on this flop, delaying further aggression till the turn. EV's run very close on flop actions though so more consideration should be given to exploitation. Absent that intel it's best to just play like the comp and call the flop. 3 betting is not bad by any stretch, it's just a little better to call... like $1 better.
On the turn, the 7c is the worst of the three for our range so we should minimize our aggression here. Ah is the best card for us and is certainly a good option for a turn raise. If we happen to have the QJs the 2s is a good card to raise the turn on, otherwise just calling seems prudent to me.
