Diamond in a Day - CET Total Rewards
Is it still possible to get Diamond in a Day?
I have read about it in the past, just curious.
What are you butthurt about again? Lost track of who you are
Summarize your gripes and I’ll address when I get a chance
LOL at doubling down on stupidity.
Perhaps you might want to read and think before responding. You usually fail at responding to what people actually say.
FTR, I will buy you a steak in Vegas for nothing more than the entertainment value.

I’ll definitely take a steak, and you will be entertained, I’m a literal legend. Where we going?
I think Wyndham was the one who wasn't doing the matches the last year or two? I haven't had to worry about it recently, but I did look at both sites a few weeks ago and it seemed like it was opened up again.
I realize Caesars is trying (succeeding?) at getting rid of the match loop. No idea if you match Marriot/Hilton/etc if they considered that to be earned, but I know that they back-tracked on it the first year they tried to close the loop.

It was reported on Flyertalk that the hotel chain match to Wyndham diamond is not earned which won't transfer to Caesars diamond. The only way to earn Wyndham diamond without the credit card is to stay 40 nights at Wyndham at a rate of $25 or more each night.

I won't dispute that, but Wyndham did stop matching for a period of time, correct? So that information would only be known in the last year? If that is not correct, then please correct me.
I know for a fact that wasn't true a few years ago when Wyndham was still matching.
You guys are spewing some BS in here.
The FACTS are:
You can currently match your Caesars Diamond to Wyndham Diamond RIGHT NOW at this link

You dont have to earn ****
The only thing that closed was the Hilton Gold > Wyndham Diamond match so people are no longer able to get the Hilton American Express > Wyndham Diamond > Caesars Diamond loop.
But if you already have either Wyndham Diamond or Caesars Diamond you can keep infinite looping every Jan/Feb. I've done it the past 3 years so whoever keeps saying in here you cant is spewing bs.

Now who is talking ****? Whether you got it or not that is exactly what they are trying to close.
So it's just Hilton? What if I matched from another way to Wyndham? Your contention is that Caesars is closing down on all other status matches except the one that directly involves them?

i stated I was wrong about not being able to match caesars diamond to wyndam diamond online. You used to be able to do it on caesars rewards website but now you need to use the link you provided.
but wyndam diamond to caesars diamond isn't supposed to work anymore if you didn't earn wyndam diamond. but it seems hit or miss in reality.

Also Wyndham is cracking down on card applications and requires submitting tax returns for new customers and also the coming 2024 will see contracting credit lines. So waiting for a match would be a problem for people needing diamond tier early in the year.

After February 1, 2024 we need data points to determine if this is true currently.
If you read back 1 year in this thread, you'll see where people did this same back and forth dance. All kinds of people saying it doesnt work anymore. Then in mid/late February we all got approved for Caesars Diamond from the status match.
Another Ceasars Rrwatds mystery to figure out.....
At the end ofnlast year, Caesars Rewards had two different 5x tier points bonus periods. They also had a promotion running for the last two months that for every 500 tier points earned at the end of the year a person would be awarded 100 tier points in the new year.
I have not seen the points yet for either of those promotions.
It has been my experience that bonus tier points from the multiplier promotions were awarded within the first few days of the following month. Do far I have seen nothing.
Has anyone else seen anything yet?
Haven't seen anything there either
The 5x tier bonus points would have been applied to last year
haven't gotten the 20% bonus yet either
I definitely got the 5x, because my tier status changed. I think I also got the 20% because I have 130 tier credits and haven't been to Vegas this year.
At the risk of having ScotchOnDaRocks chime in about how much he enjoys standing in line at kiosks… does anyone know if there is an even remotely legitimate reason for them requiring people to swipe their cards to enable many of these promotions?
I get that it creates an “out” that allows them to deny the benefit to people on a technicality. But besides that, it seems to me all it does is piss off the people who knew about it and forgot. And piss off the people who didn’t know abut it and found out later.

I just did this yesterday and got the email today that I'm Wyndham Diamond. As easy as pie. Do their lower end properties have suites?

The ‘20% boost’ was supposedly 100 TC per 500 TC earned from Nov 1 to Dec 31, so that, at least in past years, it was only granted in increments of 100.
I have yet to receive any such boost, but maybe they’ve decided to exclude TC earned via poker play. [emoji2369]

Agree, very annoying. That gotcha has gotten me before.

In that case I have no idea where I got 130 tc from. I know for sure I got the 5x because I was Diamond before the 5x promo and now I'm Diamond Plus.
The whole purpose of a loyalty program is to promote the company and make it MORE likely for someone to buy their products and services. It’s bad enough they do a bunch of stuff unintentionally (in theory) to annoy their best customers. But things like this seem completely intentional. I don’t get the business side of it.

It seems like common sense to just give the promotion to people aware enough to swipe the kiosk. And it’s somewhat standard amongst many different industries requiring people to opt into a promotion.
Not really a big deal, can’t recall ever standing in line to swipe a kiosk, maybe I’ve waited 8 seconds or something. But I’m cool as the other side of pillow as I’m not looking to get angry.
