Global Poker is a scam or incompetent? Won't verify bank info for withdrawals
Had an account on Global Poker for years as I saw it got decent reviews here as as online poker site US players can play at. Finally deposited, played for a few months, then decided to do the bank approval process so I could withdraw. Tried a voided check, they didn't approve because I didn't write the issuance date. Sent another voided check with date, they said it was incomplete (?) and to send a bank statement. So I sent that and they stopped responding. It's been about 3 three weeks since I first started the process, two weeks since their last response of, 'we're reviewing your documents'. No response at all when asked for updates.
Been playing online since before BF, on all sites, sites that even turned out to be scamming everyone...still got my money.
Is Global Poker scamming or just incompetent and this process normally takes a month while they ignore you? Based on all the recent posts about Global Poker being problematic...are they going under? I'd advise any new US players not to play here.

Resolved. Expect to wait a month+ for bank verification. Withdrew money and received it 2-3 days later.
Been playing on Global for 9-10 months and never had a problem. That being said, I will not do anything until my account is verified on any site. It took me 24 hours to get everything squared away on Global, but I’ve been hearing by many they’ve been waiting weeks. To anyone skeptical about Global I would just say to have patience. They are one of the best choices for US players. Glad OP was able to figure it out!
When I first tried to upload address docs, something errored in the form and it rejected every type of file. I backed out to try again, but it's been stuck on PENDING for about eight days and provides no option to start the process again. I opened a support ticket after 24 hours and have gotten virtually the same response every time from each new person. I've tried in my replies to make it explicitly clear and provided screen shots showing I have NO ABILITY to resubmit my documents. I have asked to have a supervisor contact me twice. They don't reply to any information, and just keep sending the same instructions back. The latest response I got, added a new suggestion to *manually submit* in the account area, but there is no such option.
It's asinine how ineffective their replies have been. I don't get it.

Any success getting this resolved? I am in the EXACT same position and customer service is useless and fail to grasp the issue. All I get are the canned responses of delete cache/cookies, try another browser, etc…. I have done all of that to no avail. The issue clearly lies within their system.

NOPE! Check out this most recent reply where a "supervisor" informed me I may now try to resubmit deatils and docs. Of course, after a foolish glimmer of hope, I discovered there has been no change to verification status and my issue remains exactly the same. It's gotta be deliberate.

Yesterday morning I received a new email from support saying my verification failed and providing a button to try again. Options also reappeared in my account drop down on the site itself. I just uploaded address and bank docs now with no problem - fingers crossed.
Very surprised. Hope this is the end of it.
Well holy smokes I got another fast reply and my account is verified. Can't say it was a great trip, but I got there. Really surprised.
