But, the best show I saw all year was Patriot.
Drops of God
TLoU would’ve been in my top 5 but I’m infuriated with Naughty Dog at the moment, so to hell with them…. But still, it’s TLoU so I can’t completely hate it lol
rezervation dogs
succession
sex education
Goddammit…. I forgot Reservation Dogs… that would probably replace Mrs Davis.
i will have to go through my watch history
but for now
The last of us (im not a gamer and not particularly into Zombie stuff except world war Z was great also imo)
Daisy Jones and the Six
Snowfall the final series - i really enjoyed this series i watched it 2-3 times already
i will have to update later, in general 2023 didnt have that many great shows (was squid game 2022 or 2023? it was fun)
Succession
Barry
Jury Duty

Was thinking Daisy Jones was 2022. It moves to #2 on my list. Gen V moves out.
Where does Fargo go, 2023 or 2024?!
It started in November of 2023, but since it stretched into 24, it could be either.
The bear s2
Slow Horses s3
Lessons in Chemistry
The Last of Us
Silo
Honorable mention
Succession s4
Daisy Jones

No one top fives The Curse. I hadnt seen it when I made my list
It took a week or so after watching it for me to consider it… But The Curse would at least be in my honorable mentions. Hell, it took awhile for me to figure out if I liked it or not. I didn’t watch it while was airing and had no intention of watching it at all but I’m very glad I did.
It’s definitely on the Bubble. I think I’d be more interested in rewatching The Curse than Beef. And Jury Duty is just completely different.
It seems like a great movie that for whatever reason they elongated. Maybe in lieu of doing multiple seasons. For me, more is usually (but not always) better. They successfully did it by sitting with actors in scenes for much longer and by returning to subplots 3 or 4 times instead of 1 or 2. There was some padding that wasnt as great but ten hours is a lot of time.
The finale was great. The most theatrical ending to almost any “tv” series I’ve seen. Definitely more fulfilling than the Succession finale. Barry’s ending for me is pretty untouchable. But The Curse nailed it too
Drops of God and the last season of Snowfall were incredible. Franklin’s ending didn’t make a whole lot of sense but that show was badass.
Snowfall put a few lines of dialogue in the final season that opened up the possibility of a spinoff. Leon, who is married to Gina, was talking to someone and said that marriage is hard and that Gina was really getting into the music business. That seed was the opening to a spinoff going from the crack business to the gangster rap business in a new series starring Gina.
If they ever make the show, I'd tune in for sure.
