Has the wisdom and courage to realize that the cure has now become worse than the disease. It's time to open up. Stop moving the ball.
Hospital systems have not been overwhelmed.
Ventilators are not in shortage.
Treatments are being developed.
There is no cure or vaccine. This is not going away for four years.
The devastation of the cure:
Suicide rates picking up.
Massive economic devastation which causes depression, anxiety, obesity, again increase in suicide rates and directly impacts poorer economic areas.
Alcohol sales up 51%.
Domestic Abuse on the uprise
Child abuse on the uprise.
Hospitals that do not have COVID related issues are forced to lay off doctors and nurses as there are not enough patients to economically support it, meaning they won't have the staff to deal with COVID outbreaks.

We all did our part. We sheltered (here in Pennsylvania for 5 weeks already).
Open the office buildings. Open the hair saloons. Get rid of stupid mask laws.
Continue to monitor outbreaks and in areas hospital systems become threatened, reenact tougher guidelines.

Did Fauci go out of his was to to explicitly say he wasn't recommending it, to specifically avoid people like Brian getting his panties in a wad about it? yes / no
Is it reasonable then for Brian to not only get his panties in a wad years later over it, but to exaggerate it to saying he recommended THREE?
What he did was respond to the people who were asking him why he and others had started wearing multiple masks. News stations then ran with it. He didn't go out of his way to go on national tv and do this. It's hyperbole designed to make him sound ridiculous which he was specifically trying to avoid.

He was called out for it by multiple people.
Brian shows back up and hilariously presents two sources that explicitly say Fauci did not recommend wearing multiple masks to try prove his claim.
He claims victory and you back him up.

Honestly, I just don't care that much. I actually expect that multiple masks would be more effective, but I don't think said increase in effectiveness would be that great, and certainly not great enough that I'd want to try breathing through more than one. But of all the things Fauci might have got wrong, I can't see why this would be one that we'd care even slightly about.

I agree that you can say that without being a Trump or Qanon supporter. Undeniably terrible? No, it's definitely deniable. I think he made mistakes, many of them because they were forced to build the plane while it flew. He likely was/is also a political animal, for both better and worse. For better when it kept him around as one of the sane voices in leadership, for worse when he did it to for his own survival. But if anyone were to frame him up as the main problem with US Covid leadership, they would be ignoring the actions of a lot of really shitty politicians.

This just seems like an odd argument as every else on the left is siting back trying to suggest if a public figure mentions something that automatically recommend it unless they specifically say they don’t recommend it you are going the opposite and saying they only recommend something if they specifically say they recommend it.
Lets also forget Fauci said he never told the president to shut things down when in fact he did .
I think how long schools were closed was another issue for many

As victor pointed out fauci started the masks don’t work.
I think the left pushed so hard to overreact to COVID that everything they said the right wanted to push back on. Closing major parts of the economy/schools for so long had a worse effect than anything the right did during that time, but per usual the correct stance was somewhere between the right and left.
