Vpip question
What does having a higher vpip open up opportunity wise in play?
For ex. A lower vpip would or should make the game play more ABC but for a stake in which your confident in my second question is how much is it ok to widen your vpip? If 30 percent is considered pretty standard, would a 40 percent vpip at a lower stake possibly a good strategy to employ or is it best to just stick to your game vpip wise and if your playing a stake you feel better at to just grind away and employ bankroll strat. To keep your game "steady."

It creates more decision points. If you consistently make better decisions than your opponents, you'll make more money; if you make worse decisions, you'll just hemorrhage money. Assuming 6-handed: 40% COULD be a good strategy, but you need to understand that you're going to be pushing more marginal situations, which will increase your variance, and if you're not playing the hands correctly, you're (at best) handicapping yourself and increasing your variance even more.

Stack is 200 bbs and is aggressive.. just brushing up on fundamentals and making sure thinking is correct but at a game that is more aggressive post flop not just preflop it should be better generally to play closer to 30 percent vpip right? tight is right. it's counter-intuitive, but you want to fold more in blinds vs aggressive players.

It's possible to make some of the ev you've lost back, and in the case where opponents are really bad and you're really good, more than you've lost, but most of the time, 40% will win you a lot less than 25% - if you're winning at that vpip at all. Ranges become unbalanced postflop too.
That becomes even more true in raked games. So in a live, high stakes game with fish, you can and should open up your game. Otherwise, deviate in-game per opponent rather than widening your ranges as a response to a population read.
Here’s a simple formula I use that can help you determine whether to use a higher or lower VPIP strategy.
When to use high VPIP:
1. Players are loose or tight passive and play:
2. Face up (You can enter more pots and bluff more)
3. Players overplay weak hands (You can open your range a little bit to play more hands. Specifically hands like weaker over pairs to try and stack worse trips.
When to use low VPIP:
1. Players are loose aggressive (Adjust by opening tighter and more aggressive)
2. You’re OOP and players don’t fold pre.
3. You have a poor table image and players aren’t giving you respect.
