AKs 4bet pot
Hi guys. What is optimal here on turn?
Vil isn't a random, haven't figured if he's good/bad yet. 27/23/12. Doesn't appear tight but I've never seen them bluff anything of note.

Bet 1/3 pot seems standard.
edit : ok, you're a bit deeper, 1/2 pot then
Bigger preflop

Don't see any reason to bigger than B33 and even that might be too big. If turn was the 2h you could probably start shipping all AKs at some frequency.
Checking could also be interesting if we think they overstab turn, but I'm not super experienced in 4b pots to say for sure. So betting would be my default.
bigger on the flop so you can go smaller or jam turns and rivers.
Thanks guys.
So we opted for the check, could be bad idk unless they overstab turns yeah newguyhere. Maybe 1/3, 1/2, check is all close in 4bet pots?
Are you calling or jamming now?
Turn: (65.4 BB, 2 players) 2♦
Hero checks, CO bets 24 BB
I don't think the opponent will call our check/raise with a worse hand, but these hands can potentially bluff on the river if we call.
I think sizing up preflop is a decent adjustment for stack depth and position. I usually do something around 28.5 when a little deeper so I can threaten their stack and not have to force big flop/turn sizes in a 4bp. You can still go 1/4-1/3 pot and you still have plenty of playability for turn/river with a larger PF size.
As played, (facing b33) I think our hand is probably okay seeing many river cards so less incentive to shove. I think Slyless has a good point, let's let Villain donate the rest OTR
I definitely need to size up in these spots pre. All good points ITT
I x/jammed and vil had AKo, so probably a mistake by me.
Slyless I think was bang on, we probably dont get called off with worse
Do you think x/jam gets called by KQs KJs enough?
If we are going 1/3 on turn to keep 99-QQ in, what are we doing with bluffs? 1/3 and mandatory shoving rivers?
Not sure that he has many of these combos considering you have Kh, and I'm not exactly sure about suits but wouldn't V want to continue mostly with Kh combos (OTF)?
KQdd KJdd KQcc KJcc , so yeah we narrow his range x/jamming and being called by worse. Unless he perceives we rarely play AK this way.
quick look at Call 4bet
When it comes to fastplaying or slowplaying, another important consideration is whether your range contains any bluffcatchers.
Eg if you’re not 4betting QQ/JJ very often, your range on the turn is actually quite polarised. If you slowplay too much AK, the danger is that villain might recognise how polar your range is, and start checking back a lot. Which now makes betting a much better option.
For this reason, I think we do a bit more trapping here for say, SB 3bet vs BTN. To protect our QQ-77 region that just wants to see a showdown.
