Value Betting 101
I started value betting about 9 months a go and had some decent results. I thought it would be cool to share my progress and talk about the concept of value betting.
My results:
The idea behind value betting is to take advantage of discrepancies in the odds and to place bets that have a positive expected value over time.

Hello, i do the same thing in the Netherlands only over here you get limited quite quick. How does that work for you in Canada? And which/how many bookies u use?
Thanks in advance, ill try to find a screenshot of my sample and send it in here.
I'm going to give you an earnest reply here and hope I'm not going to get picked on too hard for doing so, but you're making the same mistake I made when I first started posting in these threads. I thought I was really ahead of the curve for beating low limit esports markets and thought it would be fun to share what I was doing and why, not realizing that this forum has spawned many real end boss originators that are clearing 7+ figs annually originating highly efficient/liquid markets, even if they don't post here any more. While I'm glad you've found a way to make money via arbing/steam chasing/etc, and honestly its not a bad side hustle, the idea that you're in a position to explain anything or educate anyone here is going to get you a ton of pushback. I'm not grouping myself in with those guys, but just want to make the point that you're much farther down the totem pole than you think.
you give them more credit than i do, i'm dead convinced these are marketing interns for that company running those two accounts

lol, buddy this isnt reddit. And you dont even know what youre talking about. Theres no such thing as 'value betting'. Every single bet you make should have positive expected value, which is what I assume what you call 'value betting'. Thats what winning at sports betting is. If your bets dont have 'value', then youre just a losing sports bettor. Multiple people have asked you to stop, one guy gave you a very good, earnest, honest answer. And you just plug your ears and plow on? Why?

You say I dont know what im talking about yet your answer just proves u have no idea about the concept of value betting.
If you or others dont like the tread then just dont read it.
explain to me the difference between 'value betting' and betting with positive expectation. Pretend I'm 12 years old.
The idea behind value betting is to take advantage of discrepancies in the odds (between sharp and soft books) and to place bets that have a positive expected value over time. Sharp books have more accurate odds so u can use them as a reference to find a better price on soft books.
Betting with ''positve expectation'' is just trying to predict the outcome and wont be profitable in the long run
lol, come on man. Read your own post twice.
