In this thread, we each bring our unique talents and abilities together toward a common goal of destroying the bookie. Everything will be entirely self-contained to this thread. That means no private messages, emails, chats, or side deals. All business is conducted in the open in this thread.

Our current focus is MLB player props. If you have access to local, offscreen betting outs, please copy and paste the lines to this thread (pastebin links are the preferred method). The analysts will then review the lines and post if they find any good bets. Anyone viewing this thread is free to bet based on the information in this thread.

Poogs try to edit that spreadsheet I uploaded to see if you can get the answer to work for today's matchups. The work has mostly been done just need to grasp the logic and make some edits. You got this my friend.
Whoops there's an error in that spreadsheet. You'll have to fix my bumbles. But makes it even more fun to figure out why I'm a moron. Hint, use the $ symbol to lock cells during the copy and paste.

Thanks. I mean I still dont know what you did but it sounds right. Theres a monte carlo function in excel youre saying? I suppose I could figure it out from this if so. What are the numbers in the I and J columns?
Edit: I think I get it now. Those are trials on the left and. the number of times 3 or more teams win on the right? Interesting...thank you
A1-F1 = just labels for the games
A2-F2 = the implied win rate of each team
A3-F3 = "=RAND()" to get a random number between 0 and 1
A4-F4 = "IF(A3
G4 = "=IF(SUM(A4:F4)>2.5,1,0)" - this is simply counting whether or not we got 3 winners or not, if we did then it becomes a 1 and if not then a 0, this will make it very easy to parse through later but also limit our options (ie what if there was a 4 wins or more bet) then we're sol on that using this template and would need to make changes
J1 = "=G4" - just putting out result at the top of the data table as this is what we're going to blast off with 10k times
I2-I10001 = numbered in order, i forgot if that's necessary or not, but i always do it
now to create the data table:
1 you highlight I1:J10001 so that's all highlighted together
2 go to the data tab
3 you'll see "what if analysis" and the drop down box will have "data table"
click that and this pops up
leave "row input cell" blank
for "column input cell" just click on a blank cell - i always use whichever cell is in this case I1 because then i know not to touch that one going forward
click ok, you'll see J2:J10001 suddenly go from being blank cells to all replicating new trials of the J1 cell - those are your results
this one is pretty simple, we're just doing a simple binary outcome so we can literally just sum the total and that's how many instances of success there were
we did that in C7 - which is "=COUNTIF(J2:J10001,1)" but I could have also wrote "=SUM(J2:J10001)"
there's many different variations and a dozen different ways we could have tackled this and theres a lot of youtube videos under 20 minutes that explain the process - many of them are specifically geared for sports betting
Anyway, they have another bet up today: how many road teams will win during the 4 games: o/u 1.5, -275 under, +184 over.
The no vig probabilities right now are roughly: 79%, 79%, 70%, 57%. Anyone care to do the work for me and get an answer?
I feel we're getting trolled by Poogs: What are the odds of 0 wins? What are the odds that one road team wins? This should take you about 30 seconds in excel or 2 mins with a calculator.
Is this syndicate still active? I'm interested.
Bookmaker put out MLB HRR player props for the first time last season. I thought I could beat them using my old stuff and I got beat up pretty good. I ain't embarrassed to admit that I'm very likely no longer profitable at the one market I thought I could beat. That's it for me boys. Yesterday, I substitute taught history to middle schoolers. It's tough out there boys. Much respect to those still profitably grinding sports betting. You are true warriors.
