AA vs 5bet BvB

AA vs 5bet BvB

villain is very tight, VPIP 15 PFR 14 3B% 9.

I still don't know the "optimal" bet sizes when approaching 200BB depth. Apparently my 4bet is far too small. And my opponent's 5bet is terrible, although that I realized even in game...

Anyway!, as always in those deep preflop spots I almost timed out because I have no idea what to do. There are more or less 60 blinds in the pot. I thought about jamming, calling and 6betting (lol) smaller. But I could not figure out a 6bet size which makes sense.

€0.20 NL (5 max)

Hero (SB): 205.1 BB
BB: 182.95 BB
UTG: 234.4 BB
CO: 110.2 BB
BTN: 112.65 BB

Hero posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has A A

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, BB raises to 9 BB, Hero raises to 22 BB, BB raises to 35 BB, Hero ?

15/14/9 will fold KK if u jam pre. call and GII OTF is much better.

98% chance he also has AA

Just call and maybe you can get some really connected board like 9876 that you can get him to fold a chop, or just hope for an all diamond/spade runout.

Yes 4bet should be 30bb or so.

It's BvB and he's taking a classic trap line with his dumb min-5bet. I would just jam. He will tank with AKo and QQ, but he will ultimately call. And ya... he will have the other AA a good bit. Oh well.

Stacking his QQ and AK can be tough or impossible postflop. But it's child's play right now. Let's strike while the iron is hot!

110 sounds good.

Ego-wars. Whenever a fish does this i try and bend the bet-slider backwards as far as it can go and raise that.

Maybe I can conclude it doesn't matter as long as we don't fold !

Just jam call.

fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, BB raises to 9 BB, Hero raises to 22 BB, BB raises to 35 BB, Hero calls 13 BB

Flop: (70 BB, 2 players) 4 5 3
Hero checks, BB bets 24.5 BB, Hero raises to 170.1 BB and is all-in, BB calls 123.45 BB and is all-in

Turn: (365.9 BB, 2 players) 7

River: (365.9 BB, 2 players) 3

BB shows Q Q (Two Pair, Queens and Threes)
Hero shows A A (Two Pair, Aces and Threes)
Hero wins 375.55 BB

Life can be so unfair

Were you the villain?

BB is bad at poker once SB 4bets they should call or shove . As far as the question just shove and balance with hands like AKs AKo and AQs even hands like JJ get shove some. Admittedly i have little experience with 6betting though

It could be a bit different since OP went way too small with the 4b. If they had went like 30-33bb jam is prob more of a thing

Could be a jam as played, but pretty sure we would only ever jam QQ+/AK this deep. Calling with AA doesn’t seem egregious tho given the lower SPR, if we were IP it would probably be a pure call

As played seems fine to me, since v is either just a regfish, or both OP and v are competent enough that they can reasonably get the money in with QQ here. Theoretically I think we can call a lot, this is a great board for our hand to just x/c, but that also assumes villain is capable of having enough 5b bluffs that also bet flop

Against someone who isn't ubber tight, obv you should be raising that 5-bet. Against said villain, probably fine calling and trying to get the money in fast after that.
