Covid-19 Discussion
Has the wisdom and courage to realize that the cure has now become worse than the disease. It's time to open up. Stop moving the ball.
Hospital systems have not been overwhelmed.
Ventilators are not in shortage.
Treatments are being developed.
There is no cure or vaccine. This is not going away for four years.
The devastation of the cure:
Suicide rates picking up.
Massive economic devastation which causes depression, anxiety, obesity, again increase in suicide rates and directly impacts poorer economic areas.
Alcohol sales up 51%.
Domestic Abuse on the uprise
Child abuse on the uprise.
Hospitals that do not have COVID related issues are forced to lay off doctors and nurses as there are not enough patients to economically support it, meaning they won't have the staff to deal with COVID outbreaks.
Michael Avenatti gets released from prison
We all did our part. We sheltered (here in Pennsylvania for 5 weeks already).
Open the office buildings. Open the hair saloons. Get rid of stupid mask laws.
Continue to monitor outbreaks and in areas hospital systems become threatened, reenact tougher guidelines.
LET'S GET BACK TO WORK!
And stop shaming people that want common sense solutions. Waiting for a vaccine is stupid and unpractical.
the Chinese (very probably with government backing and approval, because no significant operstion with International repercussions can happen on Chinese land without government approval) are assassinating record numbers of americans, according to Biden admin DEA
So, that was 2020-21. How do you explain the more recent and current excess mortality figures? More gun injuries?
By the way if you actually read the whole article he does present evidence of the link to vaccines.
Also here are links to parts 1 and 2 of the "Houston we have a problem" series of articles on excess mortality and it's causes, for those that may be interested.
Well at least now we know what blog it is that fills your head with this nonsense.
Yeah, you should read it. You might learn something.
There are many other sources i get my information from though. I don't just look at one.
Having a variety of sources gives you a much broader view of issues imo. Variety is the spice of life as they say.

I explain it as a continuation of the same trend outlined in the JAMA report. And your author including additional correlation without causation stats is not what evidence is.

100% agreed. people like ethical skeptic are the reasons we can't be taken seriously when we strongly oppose NPIs and mandates
The medical chief officer of the province was already sidelined since June, disagreed with local government, got fired, and got rehired by Extreme leftists NDP gvmnt of British Columbia later.
She got remove in November .
Yes the new prime minister wanted to changed many in the medical team , she said so during the election and took office in mid October 2021.
So she made true on the changed she promised and replace the medical chief officer, so what ?
Does it change anything in what happens and the empirical evidences ?
Yeah she got rehired elsewhere because she’s probably qualified.
Mixing healthcare issue and science with political views like u do is a dangerous thing to do .
It kills people .
That is what happens in Alberta .

there is no science I solved in this conversation, given all discussed claims are political.
I am still waiting for data showing Alberta fared worse than other Canadian provinces, in terms of excess deaths (that would be the science part, which is missing for now).
i know I don't lie, nor I disinform.
I make it very clear when I state facts and when I state opinions/value judgements, and the latter can't be true in any scientifical sense and anyone can oppose to them, if they acknowledge it's just about moral preferences.
otoh, facts are facts, and we have plenty of facts proving beyond reasonable doubt that wearing masks doesn't save a single life, and locking down doesn't either
gorg, i'll paypal $5 if you permanently change your avatar to a hot chick with sideboob, i really can't stand looking at your avatar to the point i'm probably going to put you on the ignore list so i won't have to see it

Wtf data u need ?
I posted that already o0 ….
U got 3 différents sources that says the same thing and reports .
It’s all fake news ?
Ok buddy .
Clearly u are a conspiracy theorist and have no idea what u talking about .
Have a good day .

i need data now, in 2024, about total excess deaths from day 1 of COVID till today, per Canadian region, as a percentage of the population.
I am not Canadian, I don't know olhow your government or your universities publish stuff nor where, simple searchs on Google don't give me an answer , so I am waiting for you to provide that given you claim Alberta, overall, in the totality of the pandemic, buried a lot more people because they didn't lock down properly according to you.
SHOW ME THOSE NUMBERS

Lol
Yeah 4X more problem after removing all COVID restrictions , driving an entire provincial health care system to the ground in 3 months, is proof that lock down is useless .
What more need to be said ….
The guy has just no idea of anything shrug

Do u understand in Alberta they lasted only 3 months ?
U think 3 months over a 4 years time frame will be significantly statistically?
Jfc …
It was so bad in such a short period of time they had to put evrything back up before more serious problems occurs .
Of course u won’t see much difference in a 4 years time , they aren’t idiotic killers letting the system crumble and just decided to wait in case it is just a coincidence ?
Are u stupid ?
Wtf
Yes. Yes you do. Did you already forget when you lied about vaccine trial phase 4s being skipped? Did you already forget when you lied and said that a source you linked to says they accelerated the first 3 phases when the source didn't say that and all of the phases were completed to the same endpoints they always have been? Those are just two lies from our earlier conversation of the top of my head. I know there were more. Should I go back and look?
And since then I've seen many, many lies from you, but I was done dealing with you given your refusal to listen, so I didn't call them out. Should we go back and examine all of your lies from the past couple of days? The ones that have the typical conspiracy crowd coming out of the woodwork and cheering you on?
Lol

locking down means torturing every single individual in society with instruments we only, very rarely, use against the worst criminals in society.
One single day of lockdown in a country of 38m people (Canada) has to save hundreds of life to even come close to being justified under utilitarian models, which are horrific to begin with and should never be used (or: decent human beings shouldn't even think it's possible to house arrest everyone to try to save some people from something).
but the worst part of it is that places that locked down several months more than others, (and those lockdowns are holocausts in terms of quality years of life lost, imagine stealing 6 months of life from every single person, that's like murdering 1 person every 150 in cold blood), people died the same at the end

You sure are clutching your pearls about 6 months of someone's life for someone that said just a few posts up
we can START the conversation: was allowing a few more elders to die a little sooner worth the freedom or not?
That was a stupid enough statement on its own, but coupled with the hypocrisy of you saying that now, it's hard to believe you even show your face here voluntarily.
for any decent human being (ie people who have freedom as their most important value in life), living in captivity is a lot lot worse than death, so house arresting someone for a month is worse than removing a month of life expectancy.
house arresting (locking down) everyone in country for a day then, is akin to taking approx 1/(365*50) [50 being the expected years of life expectancy left from the median person in most western countries] people and shooting them cold blood in the head against a wall.
that means that in terms of life destroyed, locking down in Canada for a day is equivalent to assassinating approx 2k Canadian median citizens.
Every single day. "to save grandma"

This paper assesses the response by the Alberta government. This case was chosen because Alberta, outside of the first wave, has been hit harder from a per capita basis (and sometimes in absolute terms) by COVID-19 than other provinces. Its approach, particularly the Open for Summer declaration, was often unique.
Caucus unrest contributed to unwise public health decisions, and a much more politicized response to the pandemic than seen in other provinces. And this politicized response and failed public health interventions made the Kenney government’s political situation worse, thereby constraining its ability to respond to the crisis.”1 At almost every step of the pandemic, the Kenney government acts later than anybody else in the country, responds weaker than everybody else in the country, is defiant about what they’re doing, and then gradually reverses course.
By January 2022, over 2.4 million Canadians and almost 400, 000 Albertans have contracted COVID-19. In addition, over 30, 000 Canadians and over 3, 300 Albertans have died of COVID-19. Converting those absolute numbers into per capita data reveals almost 6500 cases and over 80 deaths per 100, 000 in Canada, and over 8700 cases and 75 deaths in Alberta. Alberta has the highest per capita COVID-19 provincial case counts, and the fourth highest per capita death toll from COVID-19 (exceeded by Quebec, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan). However, Alberta’s record is masked by its relatively strong performance in the first wave. When you examine subsequent waves (especially the second and fourth), Alberta has the highest per capita death count of any Canadian province.2 It is well established that vaccinations are the surest way to limit the health impact of COVID-19.
Conclusion .
Ps: the 4th wave is when they apply your belief ….
However, when we compare Alberta to the rest of Canada, the situation is not nearly as good. Alberta, despite a good performance in the first wave, has been harder hit in terms of cases, hospitalizations, those in intensive care, and deaths than other
provinces (especially the disastrous fourth wave).
U want chart , stats etc .
It’s all there 20 pages
