WTF happened to the Limon thread?
That thread was straight diesel fire some of the best stuff to come out on 2p2 even if it was from that goofy G Limon. Dude is talking about million dollar games and playing poker around the world and the thread gets locked?!?! Mods what are we doing here? Don't doubt this will get locked too.
Roasting is cool, but you cross a line when you begin to question the efficacy of the safe and effective COVID vaccine. Similarly US foreign policy is not up debate, and all those countries that got bombed clearly had it coming.

Rosa, you do get the bit right, and you just don’t like it? He even posted the Kaufman hint — poker is meaningless and being a living legend in poker is the same as being the greatest elevator button pusher or some other menial job that is going away. Phenomenal post. The lack of engagement with it tells us a lot about why the thread has stirred up negative emotions in so many.

It sounds like a good idea, the ask me anything thread. However, he says he is a literal legend and then says he plays 15 hours a week, all private games. He talks about owning people by telling when they are bluffing. No strategy, much less GTO. Then he starts attacking people and cussing at them. Why not just answer them or even ignore them? It seems like he couldn't answer so attacked.
I assume there was some interaction with the moderators which led to the ban. It seems unfortunate as he was adding life to the forums which are not at all what they once were.
limon was a bit of a train wreck at times but so long as people were respectful to him he was respectful back and answered stuff in good faith
if he was going around picking fights with people all over the forum then sure, i get it, can't have someone spazzing out every time they catch some heat
but if that behavior is contained to just his own thread then it seems pretty benign
terrible decision to ban him and close the thread

I'd be ok with option two. If Limon is being ridiculous and too much trouble to moderate by all means, ban him. Same with the thread, if it's out of control and too much time and effort to moderate it, lock it.
The thread should still be available to view and hopefully not removed. Decent amount of good content in there and was going strong for a while. Locking is fine, be removing is wrong.

But AFAIK, no moderator has made any comment on why the thread was locked, either in the thread itself or in the moderation thread.
I could see the argument for locking it. But it seems really sketchy to just suddenly lock the most popular thread on this board in months without any sort of justfication from the moderators.

He was only a dick to people who came into the thread trying to **** it up. There were clearly a bunch of people who don’t like his politics and tried to **** the thread bc of that.
It’s back to 5+ threads filled with dunces wondering why poker sites which operate outside the law don’t care about integrity or the law.
Also seems like the new owners came to their senses and gave up trying to revamp the site lol. The mods kind of do whatever they want.

I think your banning percentage of 15 % is misleading. As far as I know, the vast majority of all accounts that were banned was because of blatant advertising

2+2 has been one of the most heavily censored websites for a long time. Unless you wanna buy it and change the rules we'll have to deal with it. I might buy this place when BTC is high enough for me to have F U money 😀
