Rickroll, why don't you just chill out a bit? It's not a huge deal.

i'm perfectly chill donk

I have a little experience in up close stuff as well, so I'm probably good there too. But you never know who you are really talking to on the internet so I might get my ass kicked. You might run into a real life hardened criminal type, like a forger whose hands have been toughened up like leather from 500 paper cuts. And I'm actually a real life mean guy who just plays a nice guy on the internet.

The people who could kick your ass are not the people that are going to be boasting on the internet that they could kick your ass.

What’s with all the wife comments

What’s with all the wife comments

From the classic loaded question with no good answer: "have you stopped beating your wife?"

“I never started”?

by Crossnerd k

“I never started”?

It's a yes or no question sir, please answer with 'yes' or 'no'.

by chillrob k

It's a yes or no question sir, please answer with 'yes' or 'no'.

Run away

It's a yes or no question sir, please answer with 'yes' or 'no'.

I believe that is known as a "false dichotomy". Some questions are not binary,

Also, you can only ask direct questions like that on cross, not on direct. Don't ask me how I know this.

The people who could kick your ass are not the people that are going to be boasting on the internet that they could kick your ass.

I told you after 6 days of drinking how to take a ball away from a striker.

I told you after about the same amount of drinking how to slip cuffs.

Pay your money, take your choice, man.

No

It's not a false dichotomy. It's just misleads those who suck at logic.

I'm gonna hold court in the street. Do your worst.

Don't know what that means either, but Im sure my worst is way better than your best, so no objections your honor . 🙄

You get a very begrudging like for that.

I wasn't claiming there was no correct answer, just explaining the trope.

I mean, I know you can hold a trigger on an automatic weapon. The thing I didn't know, is that you can't count.

As Jack Nicholson said in The Departed: tell Bruce Lee that in this country we don't carry automatic weapons. It doesn't add inches to your dick, it adds years to your sentence.

Remember how Harry Dean Stanton drives off at the end of Paris, Texas?

by d2_e4 k

The people who could kick your ass are not the people that are going to be boasting on the internet that they could kick your ass.

This is a sound rule.

Browser for mod!

I have cut a lot of toxic people out of my life and forgotten how a lot of conservatives think, no iÂ’m not calling anyone conservative , I wouldnÂ’t dare do so much as that. IÂ’m just talking about certain conservatives on the right. and itÂ’s not limited to conservatives but all kinds of men I have known.

When I think about someone elseÂ’s understanding of an issue, I value their opinion. I also think about how much they have been affected by an issue and how much thought and effort they have put into that issue. But so many men donÂ’t seem to take this into account at all. ThatÂ’s the reason the concept of mensplainiing exists.

I have seen so many times, a white male(and no iÂ’m not saying this is limited to white males) shout for 10 minutes things with 100% confidence in an argument about an issue the other person has personally been affected by and studied for years and then get super offended by even the slightest pushback.
So in these cases, no the man who has worked on criminal justice issues for years doesnÂ’t know anything or have any important viewpoints to share on this issue because the white guy , who doesnÂ’t even know anything about cjs views are not only equally important but rather more important because he just thought them up.
No, a gay persons view on gay issues is irrelevant, especially when discussing an issue you havenÂ’t thought about at all that personally affects them.
In fact, gay people might be a good candidate for conversion therapy and if anyone says even in the slightest , after the white guy repeatedly insults , demeans, and dehumanizes your point of view , that disagrees with that point of view and finds it insulting in anyway rather than enlightening, then THAT is the problem.

How dare you criticize my views says the confident man.. I can call you whatever i want, tell people horrible things behind your back , spend years hating you and telling them youre a dumb horrible person because you disagreed with the idea of conversion therapy, and please donÂ’t bother showing any of the thousands of studies and personal stories that show that conversion therapy doesnÂ’t work, YouÂ’re the problem the confident man shouts . How dare you infringe on MY free speech. In fact be better.

So they know better about entire groups of people than those people themselves and experts on the issue and the real bad person is those who disagreed.

This happens to me all the time. And you just have to cut those self centered actors out of your life.

If you think you like me but also think things like :
1.) I talk about being gay too much
2.) Trans people are celebrated too much
3.) gay or trans people aren’t really gay or trans they became gay or trans by being seduced

etc etc

Then you don’t really like me. You just like some idea of me based on misunderstanding my posts. It’s ok, I am often misunderstood for a wide variety of reasons. but, we won’t be close friends.

I think people can think #2 in general and still like you

#1 is also something people can think and still like Bryce. I know and like plenty of people that talk way too much about some subject. I just tune that part out because it's repetitive.

Victor has been temp banned for two weeks for posts culminating with the genocide lover comment. As I've stated a debate can be had about whether supporting a country's war efforts lmplies support for the consequences of those actions. But upping that to being a "genocide lover" is a bridge too far.

I assume Victor was banned for a body of work, which is understandable, but the distinction between "supporting killing babies", which is not banworthy, and "supporting genocide", which apparently is banworthy, seems rather contrived to me.

It would be contrived if that was what he said. But it wasnt. That's why I say that when making a case, posters should provide actual quotes rather than paraphrasing what a person said because one changed word can make all the difference.
