Update April 2018
********************
OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
Close to zero chance that is true. If rice did exercise he would undoubtedly mention it on his videos. And would almost certainly obsess over number of reps and sets and any other minute details that took his fancy
There was one year in particular where Diesel apparently tried to play as little poker as possible because he was focusing on other things like walking, golf and hitting the weights room. You know the things that most people find time to do before/after work and on the weekends LOL
Yeah, I have seen it and said it almost a year ago...
If you've ever seen the most downtrodden, destitute, mentally unstable homeless people in Vegas and think to yourself, "What happened? How did they get this way."This vlog is a daily documentary into the process (without the drugs)
this is quite the ride
If you're interested in witnessing someone literally have a mental breakdown that they managed to document and record as a podcast (because they needed to get the truth out there) then Daily Fantasy Scandal could be interesting to you.

A dfs tout decides to venture off on his own touting/affiliate marketing site and in the process of a normal clerical error, assumes there to be a huge scandal brewing and decides to record t
idk if that link still works but searching "daily fantasy scandal" + podcast will yield dozens of 3rd party podcast hosters who have it

I remember that 2+2 period. Rice owned a lot of chicken meat at one point.
I didn’t realize that Jaman passed 50k subscribers a little while ago. You would think that Trooper would really want to hit 50k as he has been stuck at around 45k for what seems like forever.
I don’t think he was serious but Jaman mentioned possibly doing a 20/40 limit video. Shows how far limit has fallen that I don’t think I ever watched a vlog about limit hands (or 7 card stud which used to be the most popular cash game before limit).
Everything I’ve seen has been NL cash, NL tournaments and once in a while PLO. Never saw Omaha hi-low or mixed games either which are occasionally played in Vegas. But there can’t be much of an audience for anything besides NL.
We haven't seen any vloggers doing 5 card draw videos either. lol
I played a ton of limit HE and 7 card stud before NL was popular. I would have no interest in watching any videos on those, even if they show one of those on Poker Go coverage, way too boring.
I could totally see Diesel grinding out the 4/8 FLO8 game at the Orleans if the swings in 1/2 NLHE get too wild for him.
Ironically he probably would have a better hourly once you factor all the hours he would save by not having to change rooms/games constantly.
Of course Diesel doesn't factor things like that into the equation. Hes much more concerned with keeping his laundry expense to zero per month and eating as cheaply as humanly possible.

Supposedly LHE has been "solved". Most 20/40 players would just pass chips to each other, and the casino would be the only ones making money. The LHE crushers I knew gave it up for NL.

I actually would love to see it because it’s something different. Everybody does NL. I was surprised at the number of Jaman fans that seem interested in his comment section. I still think few people would be interested besides me though.
Vegas still has low stakes games around town so maybe those players would be interested, but then again maybe those are older players that don’t even know that poker vlogs exist and would never watch one (because they don’t know poker vloggers exist)
I know Neeme has a bunch of viewers that love his videos because they have no clue how a pro thinks during a hand and listening to Neeme was the first time they listened to a pro talk about poker hands. Before NL became popular, the closest fishy limit players could get to that experience was picking up Cardplayer and reading an article by Roy Cooke. Lol.

When I was at Bellagio yesterday afternoon they didn’t even have a single limit game going.
One guy who actually would make his videos more interesting talking about NL hands would be El Diesel. Not that it would be exciting, but I would rather see him mention details of hands and results instead of his challenges that seem pointless to me.
And he could be one of the very few winners at low stakes that vlogs about poker hands. Seems like everyone else that does it (vlogging about 1-2 and 1-3) doesn’t even win. The people that win move up.

The few times I heard him talk about his "strategy" I wanted to put my head through a wall.

Yup, zero chance. Bad bluff Rice, i call.
He is just flat out lying to avoid difficult questions for him to answer.

It would be quite funny to see how basic his strategy is that allows him to win over $10/hr when Trooper and Pman can't beat the same games.
Diesel had a vlog series last year where he talked about bluffs got bad. His strategy is to bet the least amount possible that he thinks is needed to get a fold thus giving him a good price on the bluff. While that's good in theory, in nitty Vegas games a larger bet will almost always get folds even from good top pairs. I mean how many times have you value bet the river huge with a big hand only to watch the villain open fold AK on a Axxxx safe looking board. Regs will cap their range by the river a lot and you can just 1.5x or 2x pot the river and win 100% of the time.
I tried explaining this to Diesel but nope, his way is better cause he's so risk averse, he'd rather bluff the least amount possible and get called sometimes then bluff huge and win 99% of the time especially with his super nitty image.

Actually, Roy Cooke was very late to the NL party. He was still writing columns about $20-$40 LHE games at the Bellagio years after NL became the game du jour.
I love that he lies about that, he looks like a guy who does a lot of exercising and isn’t obese to the point he can’t walk up stairs without losing his breath. That much is for sure.
According to Prev (Diesel's biggest defender) Diesel has never told a lie. He is incapable of deception or guile.
Of course he hasnt! You can always count on Diesel to tell the truth and nothing but the truth. Whether it is that he is exercising+eating healthy despite being overweight with clearly visible manboobs smoking cigars with the windows locked on roadtrips and so on,having a 150K+ portfolio that is growing massively every year despite him making less than minimum wage or him being amongst the worlds best drivers in city traffic.
Thats the nutz about Diesel, you can really trust him when he is claiming stuff.
In today's video Diesel investigates an abandoned old motel/shack, potentially with a view to moving in as a long term resident if things get too tight this year with expenses. On the plus side at least there is no resort fees.

Just watched it, i was thinking to myself where will this end?
Maybe Foatie isnt kidding around after all when he says that Rices vlog is kind of a cautionary tale for those ending up in the tunnels in Vegas.
I can't believe they were hanging around there and even walking inside, with all the gang graffiti, etc. who knows what might be going on inside those walls.

So he's clearly lying about this, yet many people ITT believe its possible for him to purchase $120-180k in dividend stocks to make his $3000+ per year while never having a year over 25k in earnings in his life and just now got a smartphone in 2023 (but doesn't use apps).
What's he doing? Calling Jordan Belfort at 4am after leaving a 1/2 game at the Luxor where he made $140 profit?
"I would like to purchase 3 [emoji2937] shares of AT&T. Sir. .... what? No you miserable idiot! I said THREE [emoji2937]. Count my fingers! [emoji2937]"
LOL Foatie. Are there actually people on here that think Diesel built up a six-figure dividend account from poker money??
Diesel himself admits most of his poker winnings go to his living expenses and even during his best years he has saved 1 or 2k at most from poker. Now, Diesel is way past his prime and we are seeing in realtime as he has to cut his expenses massively to keep living the way he does.
I think his parents gifted him money/investment/car but I have no idea how much he has invested in dividends. I do believe Diesel when he says he has dividends and always uses the payments to buy more crappy dividends.
That is why he is panic starving himself all the time now, under the guise of “challenges.” He does not want to dip into his investments to pay for his tiny monthly nut.
