The refs were mostly swallowing their whistle for both sides the whole game (except for the nonsense holding call that negated the Rice TD).
Again, not complaining about the refs, just pointing out the Chiefs got jobbed on some calls too. I saw Jones go down in real time and was like wtf, he was held or something. Should have been a safety.
There was also an intentional grounding on Ravens earlyish in game they let slide.
Yeah what is the rule on that, does it just have to get past the line of scrimmage, no matter how far out of bounds you throw it? Or does it have to pass the line of scrimmage while still within the sidelines? Seems like it has to be the second thing.
It just has to get to the line of scrimmage, doesn't matter if it's 20 yards out of bounds when it gets there. I think on that one it just about got to the line of scrimmage and he was just about out of the tackle box. Ultimately I don't think that was even relevant though because it went almost directly over a receiver's head and that's enough for it not to be called, even if he'd have to have been about 30 feet tall to catch it.

that's awesome. Was hoping they'd be set up in a way that we could potentially get a $10,000 doink as the ball smashes in to the camera, destroying everything inside, but inside the goalpost is pretty sick.
