First off are your current legal options. Several poker sites have blocked players from certain states from playing in their rooms. Listed after each state are the sites that they are allowed to play on. For example, I'm from New York so my options are Chico, WPN, and maybe Merge, subject to certain zip code restrictions. If your state is not listed, then all networks are available to you.

Restricted states; you can play on:

USD
DC: Ignition + Chico + Grand + Horizon
Delaware: Chico + Grand + Horizon
Kentucky: Ignition + Chico + Grand + WPN
Louisiana: Ignition + Chico + Grand + WPN
Maryland: Chico + Grand
Missouri: Ignition + Chico + Grand + WPN
Nevada: Chico + Grand + Horizon
New Jersey: Chico + Grand
New York: Chico + Grand + Merge + WPN (Merge subject to Zip Code restrictions)
Utah: Ignition + Chico + Grand + Horizon + WPN
Washington: Ignition + Chico + Grand

Bitcoin
All US Residents can play for bitcoins on:
Seals With Clubs
[Also various other Bitcoin Only sites, including some WPN skins]

Next is general information about the different poker networks. Restricted States are the states these networks do not allow players from, or at the least from certain areas. There are links that will bring you to their respective threads/sections here on 2+2. Clicking on their respective cashout threads and scrolling through the last few pages will give you a good idea of how long cashouts are taking.

Bovada may feel hit of exiting US markets more for igaming than wagering

Massachusetts recently sent a cease-and-desist letter to Bovada, the offshore betting megasite, joining Kansas, Pennsylvania and Louisiana as recent additions to its list of restricted markets.

Ignition Poker first, Global is okay, BetOnline is okay, ACR is high traffic... these sites have the most traffic I've seen. ACR #1(for traffic) Iggy #2(for fun)

People were complaining about WPN being rigged 10+ years ago and getting permabanned here on 2p2 for it. WPN has never been legit and yet people keep playing here. US players really do have like no options left. What are you going to do, play only on Global?

What a joke.

The days of grinding online poker and making a decent living are over. Time to get a job.

I deleted my response. It's not even worth it really. There are still a ton of people playing online and the main issue today is site integrity and security. Not a lack of traffic or interest in the game. And live poker is most certainly not dead.

Be like water and change with the times. It's not 2005 anymore.

I never said poker is dead. And I only mentioned online, not live. But between people using solvers, the bots, and not to mention the occasional hacker.. it's really hard to earn a good income playing online today. If you can do it, more power to you. But most likely you can't, and your just wasting your time. Even if you aren't playing against a bot, everyone on ACR is super nitty.

Yes live poker is still doing well it appears.

I hear you loud and clear but there are ACR pros that exist and we do have other sites to choose from. I just wish that ACR had more direct competition to push it to be more trustworthy.

As for being nitty - that doesn't mean someone's good. And if they are truly nitty beyond belief, they're easy to play against. But of course you're correct in that the games are tougher today due to solvers and bots.

With the state I live in(Maryland), I have 2 options of sites to play on. Betonline and Global Poker. I was wondering which site is best for me to play on. I'm open to cash, sng or MTTs. I have heard betonlines rake is insane now and global has the vault. But on the other hand, global you cant use a hud. I'd like to know what you guys think. Thank you for all info.

If you have to use a HUD then play on BetOnline. I would say Global cash games are softer and you get rakeback, so if you're mainly going to play cash, global is the clear option.

Global has a free daily $500 and a weekly $5000 tournament. The tournament schedule is better on Global as well. Global wins in both aspects, the only "downside" is the inability to use HUDs and export hand histories.

thanks, i was leaning more towards global but I also keep seeing things about their RNG and whatnot.

I would pretty much ignore these posts about the RNG on Global. The site's not rigged.

As for BOL vs Global: Both. And WPN. And Coinpoker. And Horizon. Why not all?

by TheStackHunter k

I would pretty much ignore these posts about the RNG on any site.

FYP. 😀

Unless someone provides compelling evidence rather than a bunch of anecdotes. Of course, that pretty much never happens.

Because if you can read, I said I have two options because of where I live.

Charming.

Is this really still IT? Who even still cares if we play poker, just wtf.

No one can get evidence bc nothing is open sourced.

I can say that I have lost 13 all ins with 90% equity over the last 4.4k hands on ignition. Just from a bays perspective this suggests something might be fishy. Coupled with 2-3 other pros that I respect saying that they're quitting the site bc it's constant bottom 1-2% runs over >100k hand samples. Is this not compelling?

What stakes PLO run on BOL and Horizon? Global = 2k right?

what Hud can be used on betonline??

by Nick P k

what Hud can be used on betonline??

I would try DriveHud 2, since it works natively with Bet Online. Pokertracker and Holdem need to purchase a hand converter to be able to use their HUD's and track hands.

Hello, I am looking to start playing MTTS. Specifically the $10-$20 range. Where are most of these going on right now? Which sites don't have bad rake / many bots / soft games, etc. I have not played online tournaments really at all so any information about the landscape at all would be awesome.

(U.S. based, and not one of the good states)

Pokertracker and Holdem manager have more features for more advanced players.
