Weak overpair on BTN in multiway

I would definitely bet. We likely have the best hand and need to protect/deny equity to a multitude of unpaired overcards.

I would bet 30 into 80 and eval based on action. I do not want to be c/r but depending on which position it’s from we may have to just gii with an SPR of 3.5.

Curious what people here would say about an iso 3B pre with 99. Feels like it could be correct, but also maybe 99 is too cuspy.

I'd definitely bet when it gets checkex to us. I wouldn't expect the PFR to be doing much check-raising here, on this low and paired board with no flush draws. On the BTN, over-calling behind multiple opponents pre, we could have anything here, certainly more 22 and 5x than he'll have.

We'll have to barrel turn if he checks to us on a brick.

Yeah, bet for value. I doubt the other callers have you beat but it's possible the player who raised is setting a trap. Evaluate if a c/r occurs.

It’s right on the cusp. TT is a 3! and 88 is a flat. I think given that we don’t have to fold out the button, it’s moreso a call.

Yeah. I'm also thinking about what we do when we 3B, he calls, two overs to our 9's come on the flop, and he checks to us.

This happened to me with KK 4 ways on a JTT recently. It went x x x I bet fold fold x/r and I called IP because I thought the third player could be wide and was competent. Turn was Q x x and River bricked and he jammed and I folded, he has a weak PP.

Don’t think so. It’s prob not terrible. Lots of dead money so we have a good overlay if flipping but we are mostly getting called by bigger overpairs and AK. I would consider it much moreso from the SB. 100bb deep against a pretty large open size, I’d rather set-mine/play IP.

I kinda like to 3bet, but it really depends on the players we are up against.

Of course, bet vs check depends on players -- and their stacks. Is original raiser waiting to check/raise, is someone short waiting to check/raise, etc.?

It will be difficult to realize our equity checking this flop 4 way.

Is 7x the normal open size? HJ and CO may have decent hands they're scared to 3bet with but I would squeeze a hell of a lot here. If you can get it heads up in position whether against the PFR or a field caller, that would be a cracking result. I don't want to set mine this shallow with a hand as strong as 99.

Normal open size is either 10 or 15. 20 is pretty big for this game.

What happened?

In a tournament with a shorter stack, yes. In a cash game, no.

Before I knew it was called a paired flop I always categorise this as an 'abb' flop to myself, I would bet half pot if I were you.

If we just checked, or do not bet big enough to charge a price for A4, A3, 66,77 and 88. When they hit their card on the turn I would cry my eyes out.

I checked, turn was Js, player to my right jammed, I folded.
