other options:
court - can be hardwood, like basketball court
lemon - come from trees; depends on 3rd word bc he coulda clued tree for lemon+forest
pirate - wood peg leg
pitch - like the wood resin
pound - for the sexual connotation of wood; or you buy lumber by the pound

Some buttons are made of wood. DZ has talked about the distinction between wood and wooden before, so there’s probably an intentionality here that we should consider.

I like lemon because a tree is wood, not wooden.

As far as everything else, I think we’re getting into the wooden realm. Which is fine, but maybe means wood was to specifically get forest and lemon (and not being able to clue tree with the third).

A circle changeup is a type of changeup. Assuming IRTM knows anything about baseball, it would be a bad miss to not see that.

I'm very strong on this being our next guess.

I don't see any reason for changeup over fastball or curveball if this isn't ours.

I like pirate, personally. The change of clothes thing is too stretchy for my liking.
