Small overpair in 3bet pot
Have V tagged as a spewy fish. 32 / 27 / 11. Only 30 hands with V but saw them call a 5 bet jam with QJs.
In hindsight I think I should have bet the flop with the plan to get stacks in by the river.

Why are we not betting flop?
Id go for probably 12bb flop bet.
I like a big bet on the flop like 66-75% pot. Our hand often loses equity on the turn and river, so I don't mind getting a fold from overcards.
As played - bet on the turn is okay.
Bet/fold 40-55% of the pot on the river against a loose opponent.
Hindsight is clear for flop bet. Good that you can look back and see that I think, small win...
Think slyless' advice is good for rest of hand.

Is this flop a pure bet or should I be checking as well? If I am betting all my over pairs what bluffs would I have here?
If theyre spewy wouldnt checking or betting flop small be best?
In theory you bet large OOP on these low boards, and unless youre rangebetting a flop, usually nothing pure bets since strong hands also like to XR.
Spewy fish sounds like a flop bet to me, and a small river VB.

There is no need to balance your ranges against weak opponents. You can simply play your hand without fear of being exploited.
When playing against a reg, range betting with a small size seems like a sensible simplification.
Creating a check/raise range also looks cool, but is more complex and requires theoretical preparation.
I think this is not necessary on nl2. It is better to focus on the main profit-generating spots.
